I normally feel rough but recently got a noticeable reaction headache straight after eating ancient grain muffins, three times now. Then on Sunday whilst settling down to Ed Sheeran Glastonbury I opened a craft beer, like I've always drunk and after only a few sips had a very sore throat and worried about being able to breathe so stayed the night at my mothers, to keep an eye on me.
Today doctor has sent me for allergy food tests. Don't know what I'll think if it turns out the pains etc etc is caused by 7 years of food poisoning myself! Lol but not Lol.
Yesterday I just ate gluten free, wheat free food and felt much better this morning. Though had cornbread for breakfast and felt worse only to Google that a lot of corn bread has wheat flour in it, so am feeling a bit rubbish again.
2 and a half weeks or so until results from blood test. Can't believe this is my first food allergy test.
Take care

Hi minesawhiskey I'm sorry you have been feeling so groggy after consuming wheat products. It's good you are having the allergy testing to confirm if you are allergic to wheat. A lot of people with fibro seem to have the same problem & it goes along with the concept that everything is hypersensitive when you have fibro, including your tum.
It's crazy how we put up with something like this for so long, I remember my mum going into Holland & Barret & paying for tests when she was 65yrs old & was allergic to most things she ate lol as you say, lol but not. People just don't realise how awful it can make you feel. Anyway, hope it goes ok and then you can start feeling not rubbish lol..
Hi, you can suddenly become allergic to things you have eaten, inhaled or touched even when you have had no symptoms for years. It seems the body has reached the end of its tolerance level and you come out in a rash or cannot breathe or suffer with a bad tummy.
There is no rhyme or reason and mostly often happens out of the blue.
I had widespread urticaria over the top half of my body. It stayed with me for months, even when taking the stronger prescribed anti histamine, Fexofenidine.. Eventually I saw a lovely dermatologist who said I would probably never find the cause as I had already changed washing powder, stopped eating soft fruit, eggs, shellfish, apples, (it felt like I had a mouth of cotton wool after eating one) and all the other usual suspects.
I had it for about six months before it cleared and touch wood it has never come back. It does make me cautious though.
Hope they can soon find the cause and treat you for it.
I am so truly sorry to read this my friend and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck with the allergy test results, and please take care of yourself my friend.
