Hi Loopykaz68

I am so truly sorry to read that you fell asleep at work, and I have done this loads of times but I also suffer from sleep apnoea so it is difficult to say what causes it for me? I genuinely hope that you can find out what is causing this and I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi Loopykaz, I've not actually fallen asleep at work yet but have come very close. I've got an office to myself and there has been many an afternoon when I've struggled to stay awake. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it actually happens.

Hi,ive fallen asleep during a training day, very embarrassing! Got appt soon to see if I've got sleep apnea. If i haven't must be purely down to the fibro.Take vitamin D everyday, helps a bit.

I have sleep apnoea, and sleep Hypopnea. it's best to go to the doctors and ask to be tested for both.

Check out sleep apnoea. I used to fall asleep at breakfast. Altho' I have fibro, I also have sleep apnoea.. Both can make you very sleepy.

Hi,can you tell me what a test for sleep apnea entails? I'm not staying overnight for a sleep study, haven't got a clue how they will know.

I got the equipment and used it at home overnight. A but of a carry on! Belt round waist with small box taking readings, multiple sensors, wires on leg, torso etc oxygen sensor on finger, and tubes at nose. Took it all back next morning, week ot two later get result in letter. I was pretty bad, more than 70 times an hour I had obstructed breathing, either snoring or stopping breathing altogether. Now have cpap machine. Very dangerous condition... Heart attack/stroke...do worth the effort.

Hi Loopykaz68 I used do this all the time, fell asleep with laptop on me which slid off onto floor as I awoke with a big jump lol even sat at table & awoke laying on keyboard, I quite often wake up laying on my glasses, tablet in my bed & propped up by all my pillows. How on earth I sleep like that. I'll never know lol..I'm sure it's the medication & the Fibro xx

I fall to sleep with a drop of a hat. I can fall asleep standing up and i have even fallen asleep on the toilet and fallen off onto my face. i get to a point where i know that i'm feeling so tired that i know if i talk to someone it will not make sense at all. My children and carer have said that i sound like i'm drunk and i slur my words. i have fallen asleep while drinking a hot drink, now that one does worry me, i don't want to scold myself.

I tend to make fun of it now as it has happened so many times. It is horrible when you feel tired and now whats going to happen, i cannot go out unless there is someone with me
