Hi all

I suffer from fibromyalgia and have done for years, I also suffer recurring uti and take medication, I’m not sure if this is connected to my fibro or I have something else going on so here we go all I want to do is sleep (even tho it feels like I haven’t slept) every time I sit down I fall asleep if I sit to eat my dinner I fall asleep I sit down in the evening I fall asleep yet I feel like I haven’t been asleep and I keep having falls, it’s weird cos I can sit down and the next thing I know I’m on the floor having fallen if I’m standing i do the same thing last time I was sitting by the log burner and the next thing I knew It had happened again and was heading towards the fire this started two years ago when I had a fall in the garden and hubby thought I was sunbathing until he came near and realised what was happening so just wanted to know if anyone else does this or whether it’s the onset of ME I’m also suffering with chronic headaches, some of my meds are zomorph, pregabalin, spironolactone just to name a few.

Anyway hope you all try and have a lovely Christmas and take care x

Hi there, I am so sorry to hear of your falls, that is a serious worry.Have you discussed this with a doctor? I cannot help you with your falls, but I can pass on to you what has helped me with the fatigue and water infections. For the fatigue, look up company Immune Institute.

Search for their vitality treatment.

I tried so many things, B12,Vit C etc etc. Since I developed FM, anything I take eventually causes me incredible itching but so far this hasn’t and wow what a difference. Started to help very next day.

Your uti’s- same happened with me.

Consultant put Me on antibiotics permanently, which worked for a long time, until it started causing thrush etc so had to stop. I researched and found a natural ingredient D-Mannose, can get it on eBay, Amazon. Get the tablets. No more antibiotics, no more uti, no more thrush & no more stomach

Problems. Hope this will help you

Merry Christmas to you and All

Thank you for your reply I need to make a dr appointment but what with everything that’s going on in the world it’s hard to get a face to face consultation I have spoke with them about the constant headaches and they say it’s due to my meds but never been like this before, I have heard of the D-Mannose but not yet tried it but I will have a look up the fatigue one you mentioned thank you and hope you have a good Christmas x

Chronic fatigue is one of the core symptoms of Fibromyalgia - and like you I can fall asleep anytime

However, it definitely sounds like you need to speak to a doctor about your falls. Keeping a diary of when falls happen, what you are doing, any other symptoms might be useful to give your gp a fuller picture

Hi northwitch

What you’ve described sounds exactly like my brother’s experience.

I don’t want to alarm you but you might be having heart issues.

My brother kept passing out and falling down. He slept a lot too.

Then his ankles and feet started swelling.

He kept delaying the doctor visit until he woke up one morning and couldn’t wear his shoes or barely get his pants on for swelling. Had to be admitted to hospital for heart failure. He had 22 pounds of fluid pumped out of his body and was just hours from literally drowning in his fluid.

I only tell you this because of your falling asleep and falling down so much. These were my brother’s initial symptoms too years before the heart failure episode.

Pray you’ll get it sorted soon and it won’t be a serious outcome.

EJ. 😊🤗💗😘🙏🕊

Thank you so much for the info I do also have swollen legs and feet some days are worse than others where I’m unable to get my shoes on and have to squeeze them into trainers, they did check my heart but this was over a year ago so I think I’m going to get onto the dr in the new year as I’m suffering with constant headaches as well which don’t help 😢I do hope you brother is ok and doing better than where he was when all this happened but I will definitely seek a drs opinion

Thank you very much for your reply

Happy new year xx

You’re most welcome. Sorry you’re having swollen legs and feet. Oh my your poor thing headaches too...I have migraines myself so I understand what that entails.

I hope you can get this all sorted soon.

I do know that high blood pressure can cause headaches as can blood sugar problems pinched nerves and joint problems in the neck Can all cause headaches.

Also aneurysms cause horrific headache and sleeping excessively.

Sometimes swelling can be a result of lymph edema.

These are just a few other things to be aware of.

Whatever the problem is I pray it will be properly diagnosed treated and controlled if not healed.

As for my brother...he is in the midst of another heart failure episode. He will be 63 on 26 January but mentally he’s an adult child. He doesn’t like being told what to do. Will ignore and rebel against everything until he gets himself in a crisis then he wants daddy to fix his problems. With the privacy laws we have here in the USA it makes it impossible to help someone like him. Been trying to get him to go to the Emergency Room again but I think he’s not because he doesn’t want to be admitted again. Then there is the Covid19 we’re all scared about too.

Thanks for asking about him.

Please take care stay safe and praying this new year will be a better healthier and covid free one for you and yours.

It's difficult to say if it could be ME, and you should really see your doctor.

It's a rough time, with the Covid and bad weather and Lockdown in Wales anyway! It could be just the effect of the not being able to get out and see friends. I know I'm sleeping more. It could easily be the lack of stimulation causing the sleepiness, I know I can't settle to doing anything right now.

The falls definitely need investigation though. Please see your Doctor.
