Hi all.
Been suffering with left shoulder blade pain past few weeks pain is constantly there but gets worse when I lie down and rest it's horrible no pain killers work what so ever.
Anyone else suffering with this it's getting worse and sick of going to docs all the time about different things

Sorry you are suffering with this pain. Fibro pain moves to different parts of the body and will hurt worse in one part then the other parts of your body.
Right now the pain in my back is so severe that nothing helps. Like you said not even the pain meds.
I usually just use ice packs.

Hi Ems666 I'm sorry your in so much pain with your shoulder. I have had a lot of severe shoulder pain over time. I remember not being able to move my arm at all, let alone lift it over my head lol. You should go to doctors though because if the pain killers are not working at all, it could be that different ones would work, or you could be refered for an injection, which would probably help. Don't go on with being in so much pain because it will drag you down, especially if it's effecting your sleep.
Have you tried using heat on it or sometimes cold helps in same way. I do hope you get some relief very soon.

I get the pain down by imitating the pressure my massage therapist would apply if she were present. I put my back's sore spot against the clamshell moulding next to the doorway in my house and press. I move a little bit to press each bit of tight muscle until I've loosened all of the painful area. This gets me relief and in much less pain just as if I'd gone to my masseuse. I don't currently have this problem but I have had it for many, many years in the past.

I really am so genuinely sorry to read this and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. I would talk to your doctor about this just to have other medical conditions i.e. ''Rotator cuff'' problem ruled out of the equation. I have had shoulder pain for over 30 yrs It is very painful and debilitating so you have my complete sympathy.
All I can do is take otc ibrufen use ice packs and rest it completely till it settles down.

I have got pain in my shoulders right one is the worse I have got some gel it's called FENBID it's helps now waiting to have a guided injection into it Ask your doctor if you can have inflammatory gel /chemist make sure you rub it in take care

I think I'm going to try and get into doctors tomorrow as it keeps waking me up at night there's got to be something they can do to ease it.its not to bad in the day it's bare able but night time it plays me up big time xx
i've just come from the emergency room due to horrible pain in my shoulder. i had it this bad several months ago so went to the e.r. where they gave me an injection of toradol. last time it took a few days before it works but once it did the pain went away completely until now. hopefully this injection will work as well. i have arthritis in my shoulders on top of fibro etc. so what works for me might not work for you. i know i hate having to go see the doctor with another problem but think you should have them take a look at you to see what is going on. best of luck. this is a nasty pain on top of everything else.
