Pins and needles and weakness in arms and hands
I'm so sorry you are suffering with this. I know we are all different but when I experience things like that I have a muscle that is over worked and tightening a lot messing with nerves. I rub and foam roll the area and I can usually find the perpetrators. I massage the muscles a lot, and it usually calms the pain a little.
I have had tingling on top of my feet, when I rub the muscles, sometime the tingling calms a bit, but it hasn't gone away yet. So it might be the same with your tingling.
I know we are different and yours might be different than mine.
Sorry I'm not much help. Maybe someone else on here will be a bit more helpful.
Good luck and take care××
Hi there
I am not a medical professional, but Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is often associated with Fibro sufferers.
It may be worth reading up on it to see if your symptoms seem to be the same.
As this has gone on for some time, I do think that you should see your GP about it, if only to put your mind at rest.
I tend to drop lots of things due mainly to the fact that I have literally no grasp in either of my hands, especially if what I am picking up is wet and heavy, so it could just be Fibro, but I don't have the pins and needles with it.
Wishing you much peace

Hi Catphilpott
I am So Sorry to hear that you are suffering! When it comes to feeling pins & needles & then losing strength you really do need to see your Dr, I don't mean or want to alarm you but asap!
Even though you mention the pins & needles were in your right arm & hand, you say you are feeling weakness & losing strength in both hands & dropping things it is important that it is followed up by your GP who may refer you on further!
It may we'll be linked to your FM, but it may not, it could also be carpal Tunnel Syndrome, & it is important to make sure you have the right diagnosis to save & prevent you experiencing any more pain, or suffering or worry!
I am not a doctor who can diagnose in any way, but I have experienced your symptoms & it wasn't linked to my FM according to the specialist I was referred to!
I wish you luck & a positive outcome & hope that it will be able to be diagnosed & treated & fixed so that you can get back to Your regular life again!
Wishing you Every Blessing & sending Positive Thoughts that Everything gets sorted for You! Take Care

Hi , I'm experiencing the same problems at the moment, I get pins and needles , in my hands and fingers up to my elbows , usually worse when I go to bed. The pain I'm getting at the moment is getting intolerable. I can't lift anything , couldn't carve meat for dinner or grip the knife.
I went to my GP on Monday , she's referred me for some tests to check the nerves in my wrist for Carpul Tunnel. Also having bloods done , checking for vitamin deficiencies, diabetes and whatever else.
I have an under active thyroid and take Thyroxin. I also have ME and Fibromyalgia.
I suffer with many Symptoms and never know what's causing what.
Even my Hair roots are painful at the moment.
Whatever next.
I would definitely get checked out just to put your mind at rest . It's so easy to put every problem we have down to our conditions.
I wish you well and hope you get it sorted .
Take care. X
Hi catphilpott
I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend, and as the others have intimated, it would be best to get this checked out by your doctor just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
