Hi everyone, i am currently undiagnosed with fibro or any arthritas but i am in past 4/5 years since having a herniated disk L5/S1 more s1 physio said had an awful 3/ half months till it "burned out" physio's words, but ever since became diabetic with high bp and flare ups of siatcia and low back pain, which then went to a deep aching around hips (like a band) and weak legs and achy left knee every time weather gets cold, then a year ago i started getting pain in the back of my neck, middle of shoulder blades and a mild burning in that area and down my arms (have the aching in legs and sometimes the light burning feeling and restless legs but as i had those really bad from 12 years old didnt think much of it, till i started getting headaches front left forehead and back of head on left but i also past 2 months have "skull ache" and not a headache with it, and deep deep aching in my left arm

And elbow bits like funny bone pain when you knock it, also had 2 different times of pulled rib muscles first time doc sent me for a chest xray as she thought is crakes a rib coughing even though it was one cough (result was muscle strain) then it happened not long after that healed, i have had a few months ago a week if a teiching left hand was quite strong obvisous spasams took some magnesium tablets for a few days and it stopped now it feel lime it is twitching but its not when i look at it, im extremely tired as one min im fine full of beans next i am Drained like a battery loses its power just drained and i have to stop and either nap or just lay down, just this winter chamge of weather i am really struggling getting going in the mornings im stiff aching all over like ive been hit by a bus, or feeling like i have flu each morning and around 2/3pm im drained feel like a zombie some days as so tired, i also take a while to go to sleep at night and wake early hours by aching/pain/needing to turn constantly from stiffness/aching. Ive noticed i drop things more not majorly but more than normal, all these symptoms i have left as old age but all these along with now when i walk i noticed that low down in my spine/back/sacroiliac area i now have a clonking/grinding noise and feeling (not pain) so ive been doctors and he did some blood tests one for a gene in anklosing spondylitas (i was negative) and for inflammation which that one came back above average at 1.9 mpas should be no more than 1.7 so hes done more bloods (4 tubes in total) im just feeling a bit lost theres something up but im unsure what. Ive heard that fibro can come on from sudden emotional upset/stress ( i have alot of stress and emotional grief of losing my father in space of 4 weeks from finding out he had stage 4 terminal bone cancer from

Spending 5 years being "clear" from

Throat cancer he had chemi and radio and had been going to every single check up and no one noticed. So it was a sudden unexpected loss taht die to the shock being there for family i didnt grieve or it hit me for 6 months after and i fell apart.

Cookie16, sounds like you've been to hell and back!

To be honest, I'm really not surprised that you're experiencing all this pain in its varying forms! It sounds horrendous and to not know what's going on with your body!

It certainly sounds like fibromyalgia and possibly chronic fatigue too.

There are so many different forms of pain experienced with fibro. I get a lot of the deep aching pain in my limbs, feels as though I've wrenched my muscles by picking up something that's way too heavy.

I also experience the feeling of having a tight band around my hips when walking, the further I try to walk the tighter and more painful the band becomes.

I really do hope you get some help and support from your GP soon.

Please let us know how you get on. The spelling mistakes were easy to translate. I'm thankful for predictive texting, it helps to a certain extent. I've sent some howlers over the years!

Take care.

Hi there

Have you seen a Rheumatologist?

If not, ask your GP for a referral to see one.

Your symptoms could be Fibromyalgia, but then again they could be a sign of other conditions which should be ruled out first.

Unfortunately it can take many years to get a definitive diagnosis of Fibromyalgia.

Wishing you much peace

Lu x

Hi lu x no not as of yet, been 6 weeks so far since first saw this gp whos a good one who actually listens to you, in first appoinement he did say he'll check for inflammation and i mentioned could it be fibro and he didnt really say anything hes been more for checking gene test for anklosing spondylitas (my dad had it and RA and my sister has cervical spondylitas) but my test came

Back negative but my plasma viscosity showed result of 1.9 mpas and that should be 1.7 or under so i dont know whats going on x

Hi Cookie16 welcome to our wonderful forum ☺ I'm sure you will come to find the forum invaluable in chatting to others who are going through the same experience as you, talking to others at different stages of their lives with Fibro and learning from their experiences.

It does help with the whole process and I wish I had found the site years ago. I have had Fibro for nearly 30 yrs and I'm still learning about it, like we all are.

It does sound like all the symptoms of fibromyalgia but it's symptoms mimic so many other things like, RA, Lupus, Lime desease etc. So your doctor will test you to illuminate all these things. It can take a while but do keep going back & write it all down like you have & give him your list of symptoms. Once everything else is clear, you normally would be referred to a Rheumatologist who will do more tests & diagnose you, if it is fibromyalgia. I do wish you luck with it all & do keep us informed & i look forward to chatting with you on the forum.

Please do go look at the mother site where you will find all the information you need and lots of useful links on Fibro and I look forward to chatting to you on the forum.

Hi ken thank you for your advice, just sounds silly but looking forward to finding out what it is because its not normal to ache /hurt everyday even though narproxen twice a day and cocodamol x3 -4 doses a day helps and does take the edge off i still feel deep aching and pain through it still so i dunno whats going on, thanks again for your kind words and advice
