ESA worries

I've been on ESA for the last 13 weeks. Had a phone call yesterday to tell me its been stopped. They said they're health assessors were more qualified than a doctor. My health has not improved and I'm still in pain but now I have to try and find some way to get some help with money. I am appealing this decision.

Hiya Glo29 sorry to hear this. You need to do a mandatory reconsideration and fight this. Please go and join this website.. A1ESA/DLA/PIP BENEFIT HELP AND SUPPORT. They give you loads of help. Also we have our own benefits adviser here. Admin will be on to give you the number. I feel so sorry for you. I'm going through it too. Just sent my form back. I think it's the worry of this that's causing my flare ups. Don't give up. Good luck xx

I can imagine, I don't know how these people can do these jobs because I certainly couldn't, It's all very stressful, so try to keep on an even keel because you will end up making yourself ill. I so sympathize with you, I've still got it to cone 😠 x

The system is a joke, I know people who say they are too depressed to work and they are home free, yet we are in significant chronic pain, suffer severe depression/anxiety, have cognitive impairment due to fibro fog etc etc etc and we have to fight for every scrap we get, and even once we get it we then have to defend it. makes me so mad 😠

I am glad you are appealing. If you are getting Housing Benefit or Council Tax relief make sure your local council knows what is going on.

Also make an appointment for Citizens Advice who will be able to give you more guidance. This may take a little while to sort and I think in some cases you can still be paid whilst your appeal is going through. Ring up the DWP and ask. If you have a partner working full time, this may affect the answer you are given.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
