SO I have been waiting for a rheumatology appointment for 22 weeks, I went to see my GP last week who agreed to expedite my appt, yay! I called the hospital today (whilst at work) to see if they have received the letter and to my amazement they had accepted it and I am now down as 'urgent'! Then whilst I was with a customer missed a call for a cancellation apt and by the time I called back it had gone! oh the frustration of having customers, haha. At least now I know I only have another 8 weeks left to go instead of 13! Fingers crossed I get called for another cancellation.
MISSED THE APPOINMENT CALL: SO I have... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
MISSED THE APPOINMENT CALL
Poor you.....I bet the air was blue!! x
I hope you get your appointment soon, although I cannot fault my care I have waited 6 months for another CBT appointment, during that time my mood has improved by support from family and coming here daily xx
Sorry you missed the appt. Hope another opens up soon! ! Peck.🐤
Good luck hun,,try calling daily to see if there are any canx.or non attendees. That's what I do!
Hi my friend
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you missed their call, and I agree totally with Hidden and call them daily to see if there are any more cancellations? I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Apparently the system doesn't work like that, they don't accept calls for cancellations. They will call the people at the top of the list to offer them, I have asked numerous times hoping somebody different answers the phone and tells me different!
Thats the trouble with the general public, they call themselves "customers" but they are a b***dy nuisance!. lol. Hope you get the call soon.
22 weeks is a drop in the ocean compared to my 14 month wait. Then when I finally got to see a rheumatologist, all he did was confirm the diagnosis of fibro that I've had for 5+ years and already dx with and ignored all my other health problems such as prolapsed discs in my lumbar and cervical with arthritis, sciatica, osteomalacia (Rickets - which is why I asked to a rheumy) and osteoporosis.. All I got was a leaflet to call Link to get some counselling. Brilliant NHS.
This sounds all to familiar an occurrence at the moment. That's what worries me about my appt. I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet so hopefully I get some clarification. The wait is so long and to get nothing at the end of it must be very frustrating, surely there has to be more they can do even with limited resources, im sorry you didn't have much luck with your appointment
