For pain I take 30mg tablets of Cocodrmol and find they do take the edge off and are not as addictive as tramadol, or have as many side effects . On bad days I take naproxen As well. Not sure why naproxen helps as I always thought Fibro was neurological not inflammatory but they do help.

I'm a bit of a cracked record with this but I always recommend magnesium citrate for pain and high dose b12 for energy. I tried loads of supplements over the years but always go back to these as they do help me.

Also it sounds a bit airy fairy but relaxation really helps pain levels aswell, so maybe buy a meditation or relaxation CD, do it every day for a week or two and see if it helps. You can get loads second hand on Amazon for a couple quid normally.

Apologies if you've tried any of these things already.

I really hope you can find some relief. Best wishes. Xx

PS. I found amytriptilene initially worked then after a couple weeks made me worse. Others have had great success with it fir sleep though. X

Macberts , I find percoset 10/325 to be a very good pain med. It is considered a very strong pain med and only aval. by prescription. Good luck. Peck.🐤

Hi Macberts

I am so gneuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling and I sincerely hope that you doctors appointment went well for you? I was wondering if you have ever tried a TENS Machine for your pain? I have pasted you an excerpt and a link to a *NHS / Arthritis Care pdf Fact sheet:

*What is TENS?

*A transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) machine works by creating a

tingling or buzzing sensation on your skin. This can help to block or suppress pain

messages to your brain.

TENS machines are small, lightweight, battery operated devices that fit into the palm

of your hand. They have rubber electrodes that attach to your skin, with leads

connected to the machine. The electrodes are either self-adhesive or attach to your

skin using water-based gel and adhesive tape. They are usually positioned either side

of the area of most intense pain. You will be able to control the strength (or

‘volume’) of the current that is passed through the electrodes, with a rotary knob or

dial. Some machines have larger controls that are easier to use if your hand

movements are limited.

Some TENS machines have two electrodes and some have four, used to treat a

larger area of pain. A low voltage current is passed through the electrodes and you

feel a buzzing or tingling sensation. This can be increased until the sensation is

slightly painful. You can then turn the current down until it is fairly strong but not

uncomfortable.

*How can I try a TENS machine?

*You can ask your doctor to refer you to a physiotherapist to try a TENS machine. If

TENS helps to relieve your pain, your physiotherapist is likely to give you between

20 minutes and a couple of hours with the machine. It may take a few sessions to get

used to. TENS can be used for one hour on, one hour off, throughout day.

I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you
