Pain
They are technically correct, in that the nerves send messages to the brain and, the brain interprets these messages. However, they are not correct in the fact that, the signal does not originate from the brain.
healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., Afternoon, , it’s a shame sometimes that the medical profession could have alittle more empathy with people when explaining how our pain is received or the effect fibro has on a person s life, pain is very real and can have a daily effect for many. I am sure members here will show alittle more understanding. There is a link above should you wish to lock your posts, that way only our community can see and not open to any other site engines on the internet, take care
My advice is quite simply change doctor or try researching something my GP gave me it was called “what is fibromyalgia”, I was diagnosed around 1999 and found it difficult to understand going from very active to riddled with pain at 38. My GP printed that in 2004 I am fortunate I do have a very understanding doctor. God I hope you get some help soon.
Also, the fault in the neuropathic system has not been corrected, and the nervous system is still receiving and sending (pain) signals to the brain, indicating pain is there. Similarly, it could happen, in the event of a trauma, but is much more unlikely, as the telegraph system won't have had as much chance to jam.
Yep the first pain specialist I went to see didn't even believe that I was in that must pain. So I am having a second opinion from another hospital.
Luckily my GP is wonderful and trys to help me as much as she can. She can see how must pain I am in and has the time to talk to me about it..
I hate g.p,s who say no such thing as pain, where did they do their training..I once helped a g.p on saturday when they were told to open, he had fibro and really suffered..He introduced me to TENS machines.. Was it a bloke who said that to you? go to someone else, they should refer you to a pain clinic . maybe find yourself a chinese acupuncture practice and try that it really does not hurt and can sort you out.
Yes your right it was my own doctor and he is a young doctor I’ve got pain from head to toe and when ever I do any thing as soon as I start it’s like some one comes along and pulls your plug out all strength and energy just drains away I’ve been putting up with that crap from my doctors and hospital for 37 years I get so much pain I even tried suicide four times as they just don’t seam to listen to what I’m telling them and it has got me now too breaking point
I totally understand, it took my GP’s 2 half years before I was diagnosed.
