I am so genuinely sorry to read that you feel so down and out at this time and I sincerely hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. Please take care of yourself.
Know exactly how you feel my friend u end at this moment in time, still awake and its 10 to 4 in the morning! I too haven't had a good day since Christmas! Sick of waking and still feeling tired, going back to bed and feeling lazy and useless! Just want to feel a little bit back to normal! Never mind eh ? There's people worse off than us just think positive a new day tomorrow!! I send you gentle hugs and support dodd
I'm regularly awake, I take melatonin that my friend in America sends to me which really helps but my body just can't get past the fact that it prefers to sleep in the morning, be a zombie all day and wake up about 9pm to 3am! I didn't sleep at all last night and only had 3 hours on Sunday night but I'm surprisingly OK.
I've been doing a lot of reading recently and adrenal insuffiency or hormone issues related to cortisol production can be a major factor in sleep regulation.
I manage to get into a normal rhythm for a couple of days days and feel great then slowly over next couple of days or so I sleep less then not at all for a couple of nights. Then the cycle starts again. It makes no difference if I nap in the day, sleep all day, rest or have a busy day - the cycle stays around the same.
I'm working with a new GP through all my diagnoses, symptoms, meds and issues to try and get some more stability with my fibro but these things take time but I feel now they will be fully investigated to see if anything that can be managed/controlled can be found. I think this would impact positively on my fibro as I'm on the edge of or in a flare most of the time. What I'm trying to say is You might want to consider going through symptoms with your GP.
The whole of fibro is hard to deal with but having a sense of humour and positive outlook help me stay sane! I was feeling very down and negative as things got so bad I had to stop working in the summer - I loved my job and I was good at it. Im doing some OU study at the moment so that I have something to focus on.
I'm so lucky I have a very supportive partner, friends and family. it's also very good to connect with others with fibro on here, via FB, Twitter and as part of my local support group - the only people that truly understand the struggles are our fellow fibromites!
I find this forum brilliant for sharing moans and positives, it's a great support to me.
