Leg twitching?

Hi all, I was wondering if you could help. I'm currently undergoing lots of tests and my doctors seem to think I have fibro (even though I only really have 2 tender points). The last couple of days I've developed leg twitching. Do many of you have experience with this? Thanks in advance!

I get that sometimes. It's something called "Restless Leg Syndrome" but it happens mainly at night, when I'm trying to go to sleep. I'm in the US and not sure what you have in the UK, but I get a homeopathic -- Hyland (brand) Restless Leg, with quinine. I think the one with quinine works better than the one without it.

You might also check your magnesium levels. I've read that almost everyone is short on that unless they supplement, because it is depleted in our soils so not available in our food. Muscle twitches are a symptom of low magnesium. It's also one of the main minerals recommended to supplement for fibromyalgia.

Hi I agree with meloha, it sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome which I have too. In the UK I take a 5mg Diazipam tablet twice daily which really helps with me. I also take a magneseum supplement every day.

If it is in one leg it might be worth checking you haven't a pinched nerve in your lower back causing sciatica but that's more a tingling pins and needles feeling than twitching.

Best of luck Patrick x

I had this a lot recently, so I started taking vitamin B complex and vitamin B12 after my evening meal and hey presto after approx 2 weeks the twitching had basically disappeared. x Do hope this helps you.

With only 2 trigger (tender) points, would DEFINATELY question a Fibro diagnose . Requires 11-13 , this is what seperates Fibro from other disease .

I am so genuinely sorry to read that my friend, and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and a diagnosis one way or the other. This could be a symptom of Fibro but it could also be a symptom of other medical conditions. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.

Al my hopes and dreams for you
