This is very interesting to me because hi got fibromyalgia shortly after I stop taking Yasmin or yaz the birth control pill this pill is mostly made of progesterone. And when I stopped taking that pill made of progesterone that is when my fibromyalgia started oMG I cannot believe this

Hiya ... this is really interesting... I know that during my 3 pregnancies, I have never felt so well in my life... I really was positively blooming!!

I also believe that my symptoms also seemed worse just before and during my period s and since I entered the menopause my symptoms seem to have worsened... so this does suggest some hormonal link.

I have not tried H R T, but I wondered if any of the "more mature" ladies have found that taking H R T has helped their fibromyalgia symptoms?

I also wondered if anyone has tried using natural progesterone which is available as a moisturizing cream?

Your support group might like to discuss this at your next meeting... would love to hear what they all think!! :)

Hi there is a website about benefits of Progesterone not sure if i can post linkup for you?

Know a couple of ladies that felt great on HRT! one went into premature menopause from Amytyrpline as raise T in F's lowers in M's.

Julia on countingmyspoons has an article on how hormones effect or fibro effects hormones my cousin sent me an article from OZ where they have found Fibro and it's cohorts interfere with our hormone balance.

Hormones are something been interested in my self.

If you read through my posts! i tried one called Zoely over year ago for short time(2 weeks) while being male they all say not for us! but found it really helped lost so many pains like in bladder and bowels for one plus coccyx pains was gone balance/walking was better had energy, slept better,my hands feet was still cold but not painful.

It also brought my T levels up to!

Felt so much better in my self too.since stopped somethings haven't come back where others that have have changed and somethings like coccyx have returned.

I also have a P tumor to add to the mix.

Endo have given me Tgel which have caused many problems like waking up heart racing, pain pressure points really high, swelling and they thought having heart attack one night.and bad breathing problems which still have even though given me different one.funny thing is that things that they said was meant to help/improve it hasn't really! plus not to mention what is now looking more and more like i had a TIA while back after reconsideration with medics.(my face is still numb plus memory loss)

But one thing do have from taking T is according to chart perfect breasts! with shape of them as getting constant pains there as areola is very painful to touch if pressed on and get leaks(something akin to someone rubbing with rough sandpaper or battery clamps! there that painful)and still get on newer Tgel im an E/F cup when fitted.

But one of the things that many esp medical world don't contemplate is that we are all different I use a analogy that we are all cakes but all have different ingredients! some have fruit/mixed peels/cheese/marzipan/more eggs/less/Plain flour/self raising/sugar etc etc etc some more some less etc so one could be a victoria sponge while other is fruit cake(me!)lol but in the end all cakes and like many will know if not baked properly esp sponge or not right ingredients it won't come out right!

so hormones have to be whats right for you.

Do you know how many different types of Estrogen there is?

Another thing is many females are Estrogen dominant like with PMT for one Progesterone is an important hormone that many never look at and like when get checked they say other one's like E/T/FSH/LH etc but no mention of progesterone that is the precursor to E&T where they come from.

Another one is it also helps males with prostate problems!

Natural or micronised is one to get many creams arn't so good unless very good one that checks out!

There was an elderly couple he was rubbing the P HRT cream in for his wife and after a while found his prostate problems went away!

Did say to my specialist at Urology about it and she went of excited like a dog with ten tails saying would have to look into this! Me quite bemused that she being in that position didn't know about it!

Strange people in the Medical world!

Not what you're looking for?
