Me too. It's a song that struck a chord with me many years ago.

Sorry ladies managed to get back to sleep at 6. Woohoo a whole hour more. On top of the other hour between 12 and 1 of course. I try so hard to do all the right things. I go to bed at 9. Sometimes I'm asleep within seconds of my head hitting the pillow though mostly not. I am always up early, can't lie in bed for to long in the morning because of the pain. When will they give us some answers. Please. Sorry for the ear worm, it did beat my one yesterday, which was the oh the grand old duke of York :o). Hope you have a lovely day xx

Hi Gracesgrandma,

Such a familiar night, been like that since 1994, I even did a sleep therapy trial at my GP surgery, never really worked for me but still try couple of the points, don't eat after 6 no caffine drinks after 8, warm bath, write down all my thoughts/worries of the day, in bed to prevent thoughts of day coming back, to keep repeating a non discriptive word, word given to me was The!!! you could try those things it might work for you another point suggested was get up at 07.30/8am don't nap during day, stay up until at least 01.00am, don't have tv, Radio, mobile phone, laptop or similar in room, sleep should get into a pattern. It's obvious the medical advisors don't suffer what we do!!! Best of luck x

Thank you honor1a for your reply. Unfortunately, like yourself, I have suffered for many years with this. I had a traumatic childhood event which triggered most issues. I do try to do all of your suggestions and only as a last resort use the naughties to get me through. Like many I have limited my life just to exist. Sometimes it is hard to keep smiling through and you just want to scream but I am frightened I won't stop :o) xx

All these `tools` to help you to sleep does no good what so ever if a cough keeps you awake for half of the night and then a nasty itchy rash appears on your legs. Which in turn sets off the restless legs.

Nothing worked so spend a fair bit of time in the kitchen with my trust wool winder winding all the wool in my bag into neat tidy centre pull balls before putting into separate plastic bags.

A job that needed doing... but not at 2.00 in the morning. :(

Hi Mayrose thank you for your reply. I too have a bag full of wound wool, in colour order, luckily I was given a wool winder because it was a very dig bag of wool :o) Take care xx

Well, if anyone hears about the story of Simon and Garfunkel coming to a theatre near you, go see it. It really was the best tribute act I've seen. Sorry to go off course. I'll come and talk to you again!

Ladies ladies, why do you live like this when there are so many sleeping meds available? I've been taking Ambien for almost 10 years now. Can't sleep a wink without it, but with it most nights get a good 5-7 hours of sleep. Of course there are side effects for some people, but I haven't had any problems as long as I go to bed within 20 minutes of taking the pill. Please talk with your Dr. about getting on something. You need your rest. There's got to be something out there that can help you. I know what not sleeping feels like, NO FUN!
