Oh gosh, I barely know where to start, I am just in so much pain and getting so fed up and down because I have had no relief for over a week. Normally I have a couple of bad days and either the pain goes of its own accord or I can medicate it with painkillers. This week though has been hell.
I have had severe back, leg and pelvic pain since Monday and nothing will help. Tramadol and Diclofenic haven't even taken the edge off, just made me feel slightly high, and stretching and exercise haven't helped either. Just feel so down and upset about the situation as I haven't had any let up from it all and have had to take a day off work because I couldn't cope with the pain.
Not really expecting any answers as it seems no one has any for me, just needed a moan really I suppose 😞

Hi Ali, I'm sorry your having a bad time. Hope you get some relief soon. I work too, and it takes all your energy to just to get to work some days never mid actually do your job. Its frustrating as well when you have to use your leave due to your disability, you should be able enjoy your time off work, you've eared it.
Feel better soon
J x
Sorry you are feeling so low at the minute. I work part time and even then there are times I have had to use my holidays as I can't work. I hope you find some relief soon, hell is not a nice place to be
A review of medication I understand this will be very difficult while you are suffering.
The empowerment that you are doing something that might help a feeling of I have Fibromyalgia it does not have me, some light at the end of a tunnel.
Reaching the light is not the most important thing thats the hope of better pain management that has us all in the same boat, sharing support through experience
You are not having a moan just saying honestly how you feel. We have all been there so can really emphathise with you. It must be really difficult trying to hold down a job and also dealing with the pain and fatigue. Sometimes when we are going through a flare, which is what yours sounds like we just have to go with the flow and rest and recuperate. The more we rage against it the worse it can be for us as the stress can make the pain unbearable.
If you have a few days off because of the pain try not to beat yourself up about it, think if a fit person has a terrible cold they would probably take a few days off to recuperate and think nothing of it. The gentler you are with yourself the more likely you are to relax and help the pain subside. I do hope you will be feeling better soon.x
I'm going through a similar thing and it's horrid. Sometimes you can manage the symptoms, sometimes not. The only thing I can say is that the flare ups do eventually subside. As rosewine says, you just need to be gentle with yourself. Rest and recuperate. Hope you feel better soon x
I know what you mean, though I have never had so many days on end as you have.
I am sorry that this is happening to you.
Have you tried getting into a high temp hot tub with jets? Maybe even a regular tub with hot water and maybe some oils or bath salts that are made to help muscle aches?
Personally, I find the hot water and jets helpful. A temp of 38 to 40 degrees C is the range I use. The 40 degrees is very hot though and I can't lower my whole body in right away. Around 39.5 is probably the best for my painful body to feel a bit better.
Thank you all for your messages of support, it's so important to have a place like this to come to and be able to talk to people who understand and can sympathise. Last week was really tough, but I'm slowing feeling a bit better and considering going for acupuncture to help with the pain.
