Rectal bleeding
Hi, it could be something or nothing but you need to go to the doctors and get it checked out. Gentle hugs.
Go to A&E now right now. xxx
don't panic and don't be embarrassed but get to GP this week. Gentle hugs.
Like other replies, go to your gp asap. Needs investigating soonest.
Do you suffer from haemorrhoid (spelling?) as they can make you bleed.
Get it checked, don't leave it.
X
Hi you obviously need to get to gp ,but don't panic it's proberly something simple ,I had a small pile a year or so back and that bled it scared me at time but if your bowel, has been playing up as well it's proberly that take care you will be ok I am sure big hugs xx
Had this once before tho not half as bad and gp said there was nothing there. Read that bright red blood on paper is not a concern but have the darker blood clots.no appointments today.will call tomorrow but have podiatrist appt in pm.not likely to get an appointment with the only 2 GPS i will see.
yes it was diagnosed following colonoscopy and youre right no one explained anything as per usual.all they do is palm you off with meds.so thank you for informing me.(when I had my gallbladder removed in had no follow up appointment and when spoke to gp about it got no response).
No appointments today-went into the surgery when out with dogs.receptionist said to cal tomorrow at 8am.will have to either wait til then and try and get thru which is highly unlikely in meantime have booked an appointment for tomorrow am.not with gp of my choice.why am I thinking tomorrow is Friday??
Thanks for everyone's advice.saw gp today- she said there was a small polyp which could be cause of bleeding .no sign of any tears/fissures.
Hello anbuma3, the red blood could be from the movement or straining, it is the darker blood clots that should be investigated Quickly, as the tv. ad said, see the gp, can only see as far as the length of the finger, now you should be referred to have a little camera examination at a clinic, asked to be referred straight away as you feel very on edge, and the mention of dark clots appearing should help get you an early appointment, do not take no, not yet as an answer, (the dark clots come from higher up in the large colon, beyond the visible area). Please go and get seen, ttfn
Hi Scouser58.thank you for your reply.i wasn't duly concerned about the bright red blood and the gp I saw didnt consider the clots.i am seeing the gp who investigated and diagnosed diverticulitis on Thursday and will mention it to him.
this is typical of the gps at my surgery -for the last 3 years constant battle and not getting answers being listened to.i am due an apology from the surgery as my stomach and colon problems should have been investigated 2-3 years ago when complaining of symptoms .I wont get an apology btu have an appointment with my own gp on 26th and will try and have a rational (if that's the word I want?)discussion with him and he accepts what I have told him and give me answers instead of saying things like "its your stomach."tell me why he has treated me the way he has in the last couple of years.
examples of gps not accepting what I tell them -
that weight gain of 3 stone is all abdominal and nothing to do with diet.
that I don't have IBS as assumed
that 2 consultants I was referred to did not give me a reason for why I was referred and went on about matters that were not their dept.
hospital trying to tell me I saw my rheumatologist when it was someone totally different.
all swelling and bone growth and skin rashes undiagnosed.
that abdo swelling increased after gallbladder op.
persistent pelvic pain
cough had for two years
why give me meds for conditions I don't have and totally unrelated why I saw a gp for.
