Hi i have fibo plus other things i have lot of pain with fibo i take blood presure tablets rimeal just wonderd can blood presure tablets cause you pain as well if anyone knows please

Hi cathy1110, I take three bp tablets and my pain hasn't gotten any worse. Also had different ones over the years and didn't have a problem with pain. Did get a cough with one. But everyone is different.maybe there will be some who do? Sorry your in a lot of pain 😟. Chris

I am so genuinely sorry to read this, and I have pasted below the *WebMD cache on the most common side effects below:

*Central agonists may cause:

· Anemia.

· Constipation.

· Dizziness, lightheadedness, or weakness when standing up suddenly or getting up in the morning (from a drop in blood pressure)

· Drowsiness.

· Dry mouth.

· Fever.

I do not know if there are any possible drug interactions that are causing this or it is your Fibro? However, if these symptoms persist or get any worse I would talk about it to your doctor just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation my friend.

According to which one you are on discomfort in the back etc can be one if the less common side effects. Sometimes they can ease after a few weeks. I know I had major problems with keg and arm muscles pain with statins and we were on the 4th different tablet before we found one I could tolerate at a very low dose. If I didn't have that familial chlorestrol problem that drove mine up to 9.4 even though at the time I eat healthy and exercised daily I wouldn't go near the things.

Have you started the tablets after you were diagnosed with fibro? If so if throwing got worse after starting them that could be a factor.x

Hi, it may not actually be your blood pressure tablets on their own, they could be interacting with something else you take, whether prescribed or not.

If it continues I suggest you see your GP.

Have been on blood pressure for over a year. First given as a migraine preventative. Now my heart beats too fast. It has my whole life. As far as I can tell. Doesn't do anything to pain.

I'm a nurse with fibro and hypertension. There are no known pain side effects with any blood pressure tablets. But if you feel that your pain has increased since taking them I would return to the doctor as you could be affected differently. Always worth saying something. X
