I started having Fibro symptoms about 11 months ago. I've seen all the doctors but they have run out of things to try, so now I take my pain meds and spend most of my time in bed due to fatigue.
It seems the amount of activity i can do is getting less and less. This week i had to drive downtown to file some paperwork and then go to thr dentist for a minor procedure. I was not given any shots, gas, or medication. I was out for about 4 or 5 hours.
When i got home i ate and fell asleep. I only woke up because my pain medication had worn off. I had a snack, took my meds and went back to bed.
With the exception of going to the bathroom and waking up due to body aches because my meds wore off, I slept for at least 24 hours. I lost an entire day due to 4 to 5 hours of activity. Has this happened to anyone else?
Sometimes, first time very disconcerting as I had lost the day and thought family were trying to Gaslight me. however usually have the opposite problem really tired but still can't sleep.
I never drive after seeing the dentist even if just a check up as I even the head down can make me not 100%.
4-5 hours is a full day, Suggest you keep a diary to discuss with health professional. What you do, how you felt, when you recovered.
I am so sorry to read of how you are struggling and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue. It may be worth keeping a pain, activity and fatigue diary for your GP or Medical Specialist to examine? As many of the medications that we take can also cause this issue? And may need tweaking?
