I am constantly being told what to do and what not to do. Am I right to listen to my body, to sleep when tired, to not walk when it hurts or am I wrong? Xx

No, you are right, so ignore everybody else! When you feel up to it you may find you want to push your body a little but only as much as you are comfortable. xx
Hi Nala231
I would say that you are spot on! My Physiotherapist always tells me to pace myself and if I can't manage something then don't do it. So I have to say that you are doing the right thing!
Take care
Ken
Nope. I think your doing exactly right. I've learnt to pace myself. I know my bodies triggers and when I get a trigger I stop. Excersise when I'm able etc. etc. As long as you don't sit on your backside and expect the world to come up with a mriacle cure. You'll be fine. Oh and I only listen to me. I've got very used to smiling and nodding and ignoring. Professional. Xxx
Thanks glad I'm doing right xx
Yes I think you have to go with the flow if you try to fight your body it tends to fight back harder, If it needs rest give it rest and exercise when you feel stronger. I think you are doing the right thing.
No sweetheart you aren't wrong!!!! People have NO IDEA!!! Hope you feel better soon!!! xxxx Mitzi
Yes listen to your body, but also know that a little exercise can do wonders for fibro. Just a little, for a short time can help you not get deconditioned, and reduce the pain. But you have to listen to your body and take care. Try not to be disheartened by the 'helpers'
Most definitely! You are the one who lives in your body, not anybody else. When I need to sleep I need to sleep and if I don;t my head gets all jumbled and/or I get a banging headache. It's important to pace yourself
