Hi just wondering if anyone has managed to get the dreaded PIP while working part time. I have been off sick for a year and have been told

I am only allowed to go back part time. I also have Hughes syndrome (APS) and query ankylosing spondulitis and am of course a good day bad day person but thanks to the pain clinic i attend have been much more mobile recently. Any advice?

  • Hi sangje

I have pasted you a link below to a post from four months ago, it is a rather long post, but it clarifies on this thread that some members have qualified and received PIP, so I hope that this helps you.

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today?

  • I work 3 days a week and I receive Pip. Working does not exclude you from this. Many people with disabilities work but still need help with the added costs of their disability. Hope this helps :-)

  • I have my own company and work full time from home and receive the enhanced level of both elements of PIP

  • Brilliant thanks all - I was aware people do claim but wondered how sucessful they were and if the Atos people hold it against you .

  • PIP is not means tested so yes you can apply for it, wishing you luck and gentle hugs x
