I got a letter saying that I was going to be reviewed and a form was sent out. I filled it in and basically told them that nothing has changed and then sent it back. That was 14 weeks ago now and I've heard nothing other than a message to say that they had received my form. I haven't been asked for an interview or for further information.
As you can imagine im starting to get extremely nervous now. I terrified that they've already made a decision and that I'm just going to suddenly not get a payment. I'm just constantly anxious about it. But im also too scared to call up and ask them. So I was just wondering if anyone knows what the time scales roughly are and when I should maybe call and ask ??
Thanks so much in advance and I hope whoever is reading this is having a lovely day

Hi Hun, i sent mine back in April and I had a message last week to say they still have my forms. I believe they have a backlog, some people have been waiting up to a year. Don't worry though, they won't just stop paying you, they have to actually complete the assessment before making any decisions.
Thank you so much for your response ! Everyone's replies have definitely put my mind at ease ... well as at ease as it can be given that I'm in a little bit of a limbo situation. Joys of benefits I guess haha x
Hi, my assessment was due August 2023. I sent all the forms off in time and got a message back to say they had received them. I then kept getting messages about every 3 months or so to say there was a delay and they would look at it in due course, also that they would keep paying me until May 2025. Then jn July this year I suddenly got a message to say my assessment was complete and my payment would continue until August 2027. I was also like you and had no changes in my condition. Good luck and hopefully you will hear something soon.
Thank you so much for your response! Strangely I had a message from them yesterday saying that they're still looking at it, so I guess that was the roughly every 3 months message people keep talking about. Its horrible how much they drag it all out for us x
Hi, mine took a year - every 3 months (roughly) I got a text to say they'd received my forms. You will continue to get paid. Try not to worry, though I constantly did.
Mine took just over a year. My form was sent in last October, I had the assessment last week. I was successful and they increased my mobility to the enhanced level, and I got it backdated to last October. I got a text message to tell me when the assessment was, and text reminders, and I had the assessment over the phone (maybe because of my mobility issues). My payments have been uninterrupted, so don't worry, as others have said they won't make any changes until the assessment is done, and they will tell you.
Hi, I have just had my review Thursday 24th October this year.
The forms were completed more than a year before that. I got letters and text messages to say they would keep paying me.
Long story short. I had a letter to say it would be April 2025 for my review. But a week and a bit before the 24th I had a text message and a letter to say it would be then instead of next year.
Anyway I was stressed out but at least I didn't have to wait until next April so that was much better.
Up to six weeks now unless before to see the outcome of my review xx
I sent my review form back in September last year. I received texts from the DWP every few months to say that they still had my form and would be progressing it as soon as they can. Finally I got a text in July this year to say that Independent Assessment Services were looking at all the available evidence. I had a telephone assessment in September, more than a year after I had sent in my form. It took another 2 weeks for the DWP to make a decision, and a further week for it to arrive by post! I'm now asking for a mandatory reconsideration!
