My name is Daragh and I am the Chairperson of RLS-UK, a charity dedicated to helping people who live with Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). Many people with Fibromyalgia also have RLS.
This is just a note to let you know that the charity RLS-UK have a page on HealthUnlocked which you may want to visit for advice etc.
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Thank you so much for informing us of RLSUK, it is very much appreciated and I am sure that it will be very valuable and welcomed by our members.
When you mention restless leg syndrome , are you on about being sat and your legs move up and down fast , with no prompting , if that's what you mean , then its another piece of the puzzle for me , and I appreciate you mentioning this problem , thank you .
Hi, yes your legs jump about and seem to spasm all on their own. Only walking around seems to ease it.I seem to get it when I'm either overtired or have overdone it. My GP has put me on Ropinerole (used for Parkinsons and contains Dopamine) this has been a godsend and the RLS seems to settle aboout an hour or less after taking. I didn't know until last year that RLS was just another wonderful symptom of Fibro, don't know if ME/CFS get it as well. But if you've got it, plus the fibro spasms, my hubby says its like going to bed with the Alien! This website links sounds very interesting and I for one will be taking a look. Gentle hugs Lynn x
