Anyone have both Fibromyalgia and Uveitis? I've had the Fibro for 10 plus years and last year came the Uveitis, now it's back again?
Hi mitziblue
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I do not know if the two are connected to be honest. However, I had an interesting conversation with a GP that told me as my brain sends signals to my body saying there is pain, it can do the same to the eye muscles, in fact anywhere where there is muscle to feel pain!
I have pasted you a couple of links relating to Fibromyalgia and Uveitis, I really hop that you find them useful:

I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your question.

Like yourself I have had fibro a long tome(15yrs). Since tha time I have numerous bouts of uveitis ,in one eye or the other or at times both,it has got to the point that I can tell right away when I am going to get a flare as straight away I get sensitivity to the light, ilive in york and have what they call a roc card ,which is a fast track card ,I don't have to get refered up to the hospital via g.p ,I just ring the eye dept and can be seen the same day,it is really painful to have til you get the eye drops to kick I n , I was told it is linked to a dodgy gene named HLA B 237 (actually I think it is a dodgy chromosome !,not gene) it can be linked to fibro, and things like rheumatoid problems etc.. Uveitis can be managed but not cured apparently according to the eye doctors in york hosp...
Your welcome! I agree it is a awful thing to get,I get treated with pred forte drops that are steroid drops and cyclopentalate that makes your pupil really big! I rarely go a couple of months without problems , if used to be less frequent in the beginning,it is a bit embarrassing when all the doctors and nurses in the eye clinic know me very well and recognise my voice when I ring up!!!
Hello Mitizblue,
I personally have not heard of Uveitis to be connected to Fibro, however since being on this site we have come to realise that some conditions seem to be common if you have Fibro. I think this may be another one of this occasions.
I am sorry you are experiencing this problems and I'm glad others who have had this condition can comment with further information. I see Ken has posted a helpful link so there is not much else I can add. Thank You for your kind words about the site and I'm glad you find it beneficial.
Hope you get some relief soon
Emma
