Trying to pull myself round been awake on and off since 4am, My pain levels are off the scale today everywhere could cry making me feel so down. Off to docs later re Sugar Levels being far too high been doing a Diary for over two weeks at docs request, upped my pre meal injection coming down a little. Don't know where to start with other problems. Omg pull yourself together girl, I need to not let it get to me but its hard sometimes. I've got to remember there is always someone worse off than I am. Stll haven't heard from ATOS re my medical thats causing me stress. Thats my rant for the day.

Kind Regards to all

Hi mg, I'm sorry you are feeling so horrible, and I completely understand about the pain everywhere wanting to make you cry. I hope perhaps you can discuss your pain medications with the doctor when you see him. It sounds like you've got a lot of things that are stressing you at the moment and that in turn will effect your pain levels, it's the awful catch 22 situation. You say "pull yourself together girl", oh that it were that easy, I'm sure if you could do that you would have done so already. Try not to be so hard on yourself, cut yourself a bit of slack and realise that there are stressors in your life and that is bound to make you feel down.

I'm not really knowledgeable about diabetes, but it sounds like you're type 1, again if things aren't balanced on that level, it will effect you both physically and emotionally. I have an old school friend who has to manage her sugar levels and injections, I admire her and I admire your for dealing with such a difficult balancing game.

I'm sending lots of positive healing vibes your way and do let us know how you get on :-)

I agree with Foggy, MG, give yourself a break and let yourself feel rubbish without feeling guilty. You have a lot on your plate, and dealing with ill health can be emotionally draining in addition to the effect of the physical symptoms. Yes, there are people worse off, but everything is relative, and the impact of chronic, incurable conditions on the sufferer is in my opinion is vastly downplayed by the medical profession.

Remember, we are here for you, and you need never apologise for expressing for thoughts and feelings to us, because we truly understand. Good luck, and keep in touch. Hugs xxx

Thanks Foggy. It is so good to have people out there that will listen and understand some of the things I'm going through, my husband does alot for me and my friends are there for me. But to be honest I tend to keep it all bottled up not wanting to burden them with my moans, I get depressed enough and I donn't want to depress anyone else. So when asked I will probably say I'm not good but whats new, I just have to get on with it. I'm good at putting a front on. Thanks again will keep in touch. MG xx

Hi MG :)

It's awful not sleeping and having so many worries clouding our minds and then the pain that won't go away for long enough to focus on anything else :)

You're being hard on yourself MG maybe after your docs visit some of the stress will be relieved, explain what you have written here so he/she can help you to combat the issue even if it's just with reassurance that you'll be ok :)

The girls are right too about discussing your pain meds and adapting them to suit your needs right now....... it is perfectly okay for you to request it :)

Do you practice any relaxation techniques at all to help you heal and recharge? I advocate it strongly as a means to help balance things a little when not sleeping properly and also to help reduce the effects of stress. Here are a couple of links to my relaxation posts if you'd like to have a go :) Of course I'm not a medical professional and my advice shouldn't override that of your own GP.

I hope you don't mind but may I also direct you to a FibroAction FAQ My current medication doesn't seem to be working, what treatments are recommended for Fibro? There are some very good links that you might find useful at this time.

Hi Zeb been to Doc's he's asked me to put my pain problems on hold for now, I've been doing a diary for my diabetes as my BS levels are sky high even after adjusting insulins. Anyway Doc really concerned said we need to get it under control as its dangerously high, so another injection pen as been perscribed to run in conjuntion with insulins. He's also given me something for my stress levels, I started them yesterday not feeling good at all today bad head nausea got to give it time hopefully side effects will subside. So I'm grinning and bearing my fibro and back pain for now, got to get diabetes under control Doc said next step hospital. Fingers crossed new med will do trick and the side effects will decline. Thanks for listening MG xx

Hi mgclassic

I sincerely hope that you are beginning to feel better now? I am so sorry to read that you were feeling so bad inside yourself, and I genuinely hope that you are now feeling more like yourself?

I really hope that you get some wonderful news from ATOS really soon.

Take care

Hi mg, as said above, don't be so hard on yourself. If you need some time to feel down, take it! I think the worst thing about fibro is you usually look reasonably ok, and I,m the same as you, I put on a huge front and make some platitude about how I am, I sometimes think if we had bandage on every part that hurt we,d be like a walking mummy and then mayb people would get the message! No need to put on a front here, rant away! Xxx
