DLA how long

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I think mayrose54 has hit it on the head, as it really depends in what part of the country that you are living in.

I can tell you that my wife applied for DLA and it took 3 months from posting her application to receiving the award. In the interim, she received an acknowledgement letter about 5 weeks after the initial claim. She has Primary Progressive MS, and she was not even paid a visit or assessed in person. It was all done through letters to her GP, consultant and MS nurse. We live in Derbyshire by the way!

I sincerely hope that yours is this straight forward, and I genuinely hope that you are successful in your claim. Please keep us all up to date with how you get on.

I received a letter telling me that it could take up to 11 weeks.

Hiya I applied in September too !!!! Still waiting. I ring every week and told I'm on the priority list, they r just waiting for assessment slots. Good luck gentle hugs

hi I put mine in the same time and am still waiting I was told it was because there are no places in the Atos sites to do the medicals and just have to wait
