Hi I've been suffering from really bad pains in my hips now for a while and was gettin worse,so I went of to docs where she sent me for X-rays and its now came back as arthritis! I have it in both knees and await a double knee replacement! I would go get it checked out just to be on the safe side! I had it for a long time before and thought it was the Fibro but no! I hope yours isn't as bad! Best wishes Jackie

yep - agree with jackieblu - get it checked out! Especially as you have OA already... I have same pattern from slipping over 6 mths ago - fibro just makes things worse, or at least challenges coping mechanism, and OA flares badly when traumatised like mine did... lest us know how it goes won't you :) xx

I had constant pain in my hip/thigh area for 2 years i was always told by gp it was fibro but it felt different, i changed gps and was sent to a orthopedic specialist and tried injections 3x but then ended up having a bursectomy . Bursitis is the inflammation of one or more bursae (small sacs) of synovial fluid in the body. The bursae rest at the points where internal functionaries, such as muscles and tendons, slide across bone. Healthy bursae create a smooth, almost frictionless functional gliding surface making normal movement painless. When bursitis occurs, however, movement relying upon the inflamed bursa becomes difficult and painful. Moreover, movement of tendons and muscles over the inflamed bursa aggravates its inflammation, perpetuating the problem. Muscle can also be stiffened.
