Really worried as had bad pain in the middle of my back on right hand side for 3 days now, I thought it was a sprain but now think it might be caused by ibs as it ll seems to feel connected! Anyone have this, would really appreciate some advice thanks

If you are no better by Monday or get worse over the weekend please seek medical advice... It could be a sprain or muscle spasm , but it could also be the sign of a kidney infection ...so please don't suffer in silence and if it does get worse dont feel bad about getting treatment quickly

I agree with VG - any new or unexplained pain should be investigated. You can't blame everything on fibro, or you might miss something that needs treatment!

Hope you feel better soon :)

Hi there although back ache is one of fibro side kicks, its usually straight across and low back pain, what u have is one side, so as grumpy and ladymoth advise go see the doc in case you have infection, and if it gets worse before monday go to A & E, wish you better and take care . gentle hugs ...Dee x

Funny this should come up (not funny haha tho). I made spag bol for my tea the day before y'day, ate some of it, then the phone rang. so i chatted to my friend, forgot about the spag bol. next thing i know, my dog has his head in it, munching away!! Naughty dog. I was going to eat the rest next day, but its a good job Jack spoilt it for me b'coz later, i had the most awful belly ache and backache and had to run off to the loo. I didnt know what to do with my back. Then I remembered that the last time I ate spag bol, I threw up. My IBS calmed down a lot for a while but I think its protesting again. I started to be able to eat lots of things that I couldnt before....oh well, never mind, here we go again, back to boring bland food. I think Fibro backache is different to IBS backache, if you know what I mean.
