It feels like a person with a non-athletic body and no conditioning somehow miraculously is able to finish a triathlon race and what their body feels like the next day and every day of their life after that. At least that's what mine feels like. Anyone else?

What My Fibro Feels Like.
Yep I hear you! Except every day has a surprise new painful area that feels like you tore all the muscles or dislocated a joint..... I dislocated my knee in a car crash 20 odd years ago but sometimes when I stand up it’s like it just happened then just goes again 2mins to 2 days later ........ madness and puts me off going out at all! But I keep on keeping on 😘
Of course, besides Fibro there are other things that crop up......I got shingles on my face a couple of years ago and also had a small stroke last November. Whenever anything else happens I almost lose the will to go on.
I’m sorry to hear about your stroke and hope your recovering.
Yes it sounds like we all have another condition before FM: I had suffered with severe depression and arthritis for years after a car crash, then a lot of prolonged stressful situations culminated in my body seeming to fall apart like an earthquake so the diagnosis of FM was a relief to be fair as I thought I was going mad! I’d make an appointment with the GP for severe debilitating neck pain and by the time it came round I’d be hobbling in on “broken feet” with hands that refused to work! Crazy - I can laugh at it sometimes when the pain is more controlled.....
Stay strong
I have heard that Fibro can manifest itself after a car accident or after long time stressful incidents. Sorry to hear about your multiple conditions. Oddly enough my hands are fine and the only problems with my feet are the bottoms....where I can no longer go barefoot. But every other muscle in my body feels damaged. Lets pray for a cure, lol. xxxooo
You just summarised it perfectly for me.
Yelp, World that sounds about right here too, with just a few addons here and there. I have injury, and many other medical issues in addition to my fibro, and have had 38 surgeries, so I'm not sure what in my arsenal triggered this mess, but something sure did. My mornings consist of swelling, and more swelling (which they claim is not from the fibro, but can't tell me what is causing it)? I can't say I Wake UP of the morning because in order to wake up that requires having been able to go to sleep in the 1st place lol.
Anyway, after multiple attempts to try to get out of the bed, and feeling like my swollen body is literally going to snap in half, and sometimes taking way too long to be able to get up to the point that I'm not able to make it to the potty in time, and then to still feel totally exhausted from lack of sleep, and to feel like I'm a victim of a major hit and run and have been hit by a Mac Truck that no one bothered to get the license's number for day after day is more than upsetting to say the least. LOL The best I can hope for is that dear ole Fibro Fog, if I'm lucky will hopefully allow me to forget what a truly horrible day I had yesterday, so when it does happen again, and It Will, it's like a whole new unbelievable adventure. LOL and when it rains, or I try to do even the slightest little thing, I'm down for days. Oh yes, these are the joys of Fibro. Hope you have a nice night hun. Prayers to you.
So sorry you are in so much pain also....the "hit by a mack truck" description is one I've always used also.xxxooo
