Does anyone else suffer with these? My right quads have been twitching for days now driving me mad

Muscle twitches
I too have these on a very regular basis, various muscles, and it drives me nuts too. I've never mentioned it to anyone as I assumed it was just something everyone had. I did have a muscle in my face by the side of my jaw twitch for well over two days non stop, which did concern me a bit, but then as suddenly as it started, it stopped.
I'm not sure this will help in any way Suzy, but know that you aren't alone.

Hi
Me too, I get them in some weird places but I also have restless leg so have them in my calves and lower legs almost all the time, I also get them in my lower abdomen as well. Sometimes muscle twitches can be a sign of iron or B12 deficiency so if it continues it might be worth getting checked out.
Sadly though I take iron anyway for anaemia and have regular B12 injections and it has made no difference to me but although they can be very annoying at least they are not painful lol.
snap. i have b12 jabs and still get the twitches in my legs. also get them in my little fingers, eyelids and side of head
I get them right side of abdomen not at all painful but entertaining to watch
This ones been going on so long the point it twitches from now feels bruised hope it stops soon. I could cope with the restless legs as that's not continuous but this is so darn annoying
I get terrible restles legs, they just throw themselves about and its a very uncomfortable feeling when u cant keep still, I also get jerky body which i guess could be the twitching you are on about, i feek a bit better knowing that other fibro friends have it, cos it must mean that its connected with the fibro, gentle hugs to you all ...Dee xx
I get muscle twitches, my lips were doing it yesterday, I looked like Victoria Beckham! I also get whole body jerks, restless legs. multiple joint pain... pfft
I usually get them so that I look like I'm winking at somebody and, yes, like you in various other muscles. About two years ago whilst driving to work I had such a bad one across my back that was so painful I screamed and at the same time lost control of my car and ramped the pavement. I told my doc, waiting for the bit where he tells me that he has to inform the DVLA etc and have my main mode of independence taken away. Instead he put me on a small dose, 5mg, of baclofen which is a muscle relaxant. It is a small enough dosage so as not to make me drowsy (which most of my other meds do) but since then I haven't had any problems.
I hope you can get it sorted. I am suffering from extremely painful feet and lower legs at the mo which is a new hit for me. I think apart from that I have fibro staying in my hips, hands, elbows and shoulders and for the rest it seems to just travel about my bod with its travel suitcase deciding where to set up camp next I've noticed that when I have an op, it may take a short or long while, but Mr Fibes seems to enjoy 'hijacking' said injury or op site.
Wish the sun would warm a little more, always better when its not cold.
Hope you all have at least a relatively fibro-free day my friends.

Hi SuzyB I get muscle twitches regularly. I seem to get them in almost every muscle. I get a weird one in the inner part of my elbows, but it's really deep inside it's not always possible to see. If I press firmly ob the area I can just about feel it. I have also experienced it in the sphincter muscle im bottom it's uncomfortable sometimes.
I also get bodily jerks in my shoulders an legs. I hope all the comments help to reassure you. Take care. Becky xx
Ditto , you could be talking about me , i also feel my joints stiffening up more and painful , esp my shoulders and hips

I'm stiff first thing in the morning also if I've been sat still for a while. I find it embarrassing at work if I'm with people who don't know I've got fibro
I can't work , i also have severe cfs/me my energy levels are very low and i get tired so easily. My fibro has left me in a way that i now need to use a wheelchair when outside because i can't walk , I hate my life , i've lost everything since being ill and i feel its getting worse.
life eh !!!!
take care , hugs Kira x
Without being mean, I'm really grateful I'm still able to work, there are 2 colleagues at work who both have fibro, one of them is considering medical retirement.
This fibro causes such life altering and permanent problems. As there are so many people with this world wide I'm surprised there is so little known about it.
I'll stop waffling on, sorry.
Take care, Becky. Xx
There are diseases linked to fibro that cause muscle twitching - such as periodic limb movement disorder, which I have had for over 20 years every time I take alcohol!! So no alcohol for me becasue as you say it is enough to drive you mad - and also my husband who had to sleep next to a twitching woman that kept him awake even when I was sleeping. Oh the joys of fibro - it has no end to the amazing things it causes your body to have. xx
Have people tried the bar of soap under the bed sheet for restless legs. It really works one bar last 6 months.
Other than that magnesium has helped me.....but too much exercise will still set it off
I tried the soap it didn't help
My whole body spasms , these can be very acute and i have no control over them, i guess its just something we have to put up with and varying degrees of Fibro are hit in different ways. Just my thoughts and opinion.
hugs Kira x
I have these twitches all over but it is worse when tryting to type. I am on morphine twice a day and although it helps the pain does nothing for the twitching. it has taken me a long time to type this.
hugs to everyone with fibro
Soap helps me! A bar under each knee whilst watching TV stops twitchy legs. I often get shooting pains in my feet which make my legs jerk. I either put bare foot on bar, or if I'm out tuck the bar in my sock. I couldn't do without it now. Also have one in bed, move it about under knee, calf, ankle, depends whats hurting, twitching or both!
Gentle hugs to all.
