Oh yes, oh yes! It is really annoying not to mention painful. I sincerely hope that it is not giving you too much of a problem?

You take care

Yes, my legs are always like this, as though I have giant bulldog clips clamped on my thighs. I find Duloxetine takes the edge off it, but nothing I've tried takes the pain away completely. It is also the worst problem during a flare.

Hope you find something that helps.

Yes, quite often. My worst areas for this are the muscles at the top of my back and across my shoulders and those that run down from my waist to my knees. If you find anything that helps relieve this please let us know. Linda

Oh Yes Yes this happens frequently!

The muscles at the top of my back and my arms are the worst. For the last 2 days my arms have felt like I wearing really tight blood pressure cuffs. I also get burning pains with it. sue

I've always said I felt an electric current had been through me and my muscles forgot to relax afterwards... using a TENS machine (oldish one from Boots) which had been great before became extra painful to use, which made the analogy seem more real... strange that. Frangi

I find that I can`t stand a tens machine It`s like minor electric shocks and I find myself trembling all over after only a few seconds.

A very good description. or like I've been punched but the ache doesn't go. The most sensitive area is my right upper arm. Not my drinking arm but that's no comfort as I don't drink. Likewise if anyone has a remedy I'd be eternally grateful :)

oh yes indeedy!

which muscles are giving you problems in particular?

I can reccomend heat packs to help relax them ( although don'T expect the pain ot go away completely)

Also - it is important to make sure you are having enough soluable potassium ( a banana will do it, if you are not feeling too nauseous on meds)

all the best,

M

Hi. I seem to be getting worse with this muscle pain was at the Dr yesterday needless to say no help . Dr saw me for my lympdema and my IBS she referred me to a specialist gave me something different for my IBS eventually after telling me there is no cure Duh . So she then told me to come back next Wednesday to see her about getting reffered to a fibro specialist Why are these clinics so far away I have lived with fibro for almost 29 years still, they are ignorant feel g.p. want to stay this way . The most help and knowledge I have had is this HealthUnblocked thanks to you ask,. I suffer in silence now I am not as I don't complain and just get on with my every day chores but this Chronic pain in my muscles is very painful its not in my bead and never as been funny thing is when I showed the Dr my badly swollen left leg she then squeezed it saying that looks painful. The point im making is that hurt when this Dr Martin squeezed my leg so anything they can see looks painful but they can't see fibro there for not enough research just plain old ignorance and bad communication

Yes. Every waking minute of every day.

Mine is located upper back either side of the spine, with the added bonus of a sharp pencil being poked in vertebra.

My fix of tens in the evening sometimes gives me a bit of relief. And if I over do lifting and reaching I get the dreaded flare up a day or two after.

Gentle stroking will help when I can engage man with magic marigolds. In fact I sometimes think that's the only time I truly breathe properly.

I didn't pay attention when it first started to try and get on top of it. Now muscles have wasted and shortened so the pain is moving further afield and travels up my neck.

Go to gp if you haven't and keep on until he comes up with an idea. Once spasms set in its an unrelenting circle that cannot be broken. In my experience.

Good luck.

Morning Ned you have hit the nail o the head , so to speak. I think the muscle wastage

becomes more of a problem with time and we forget and the pain hammers in.

I suffer in shoulders and neck as well as torso hip knees I feel like that song "Shoulders Knees and Toes"

:D

Spasms are as you say unrelenting :(

Still today I am endeavoring to be up beat about life and positive so I send you a smile :)
