i have a private pension of £50 per month will i have it deducted from my esa allowonce? it starts in May

As far as i know esa is not means tested so your private pension shouldn't affect what you get .

Which ESA do you get??.

There are two types of ESA;

Income-related ESA is means tested

Contributory ESA is Non means tested

Hope this helps you work out if you will be affected depending on which type of ESA you receive

Anything below £85 is disregarded, and anything above they take away half.

This is applicable to Contribution based ESA, sorry I don't know whit effects income based.

If that's a monthly figure then you will be entitled to all it if ESA is contribution based. But don't forget that ESA and your pension is taxable and has to be declared. However I doubt very much you'd be going over the limit to pay tax. It's still bet to check with HMRC once it comes into payment xx
