Advice during FET please. Natural ovulation, prior to trigger and high progesterone levels prior to FET

Hi all, I am looking for some advice please.

I am currently abroad waiting for my FET. I have been on just estrofem and aspirin. I had my first scan which showed 1 x follicle of 13mm at day 11. I was really worried I was going to ovulate but the clinic told me the chance of this was practically 0% due to the oestrogen therapy.

When I arrived I had my first scan and had my progesterone checked. I then had my trigger shot at the same time before the bloods were back. I then found out that my progesterone levels are very very high without any progesterone supplementation. It was 18ng/ml.

My clinic have said my transfer may be cancelled now I am having a meeting with the Dr tomorrow and we will decide.

What I am worried about is having a trigger shot after I have already ovulated naturally? Everything I have read suggests that your progesterone levels should be really low on trigger day. Has anyone else experienced this - ovulated during a FET, then also had a trigger shot but still had a successful transfer please?

Thank you. I am gutted it’s all gone wrong😢xx

I am so sorry you’re facing all this additional worry and stress. Sadly I do now of others who’ve ovulated - they’ve then had antagonist in FET cycles to prevent it happening again. Sadly if the progesterone is too high then it is not good to go to transfer as your lining and embryo will be out of sync. I hope you get a plan from your dr xx

sorry to hear about it, happened to me many times, the estrogen protocol is just not working for me. As they saw the leading follicle of 13 mm it was obvious you were going to ovulate, and they had to trigger it to time it.

you should cancel FET now as the implantation window is unknown and your chances are lower.
