the results of my ERA, EMMA + ALICE are back and my Gardnerella levels are significantly higher. My husband and I are both now on a high dose of antibiotics to clear this and I am going to be taking probiotics orally as vaginally pre-transfer.
other than this does anyone have any other recommendations? I’m worried it is going to return between finishing the antibiotics + the transfer.
Thank you.

Be sure to finish the course of antibiotics Best to have showers rather than baths - do not use perfumed soaps etc - no vaginal deodorants - avoid strong detergents when washing underwear Continue with healthy eating and drinking plenty of clear fluids
I recommend using lots of the vaginal probiotics- way more than the packet recommends. It is really hard to get your good bacteria established and you need lots to give it a boost. Don’t worry - you can’t have too much probiotic in there.
I tried one a day and it didn’t work - I still had 0% good bacteria at my EMA,Alice and ERA following a course of probiotics (Canesflor). So I went for it and did 3 a day vaginal and 2 a day oral probiotics for 3 weeks before my transfer. Anyway, it must have worked because that was my 5th transfer and the first to work. I’ve read others say that following the recommended dose of vaginal probiotics did nothing - you have to shove loads up there to give it a fighting chance of getting established. x
Also, you’ll have to finish the antibiotics first - otherwise you’ll just be killing off the good bacteria. Antibiotics followed by loads of probiotics x
Thank you so much, I have ordered vaginal pro-biotics from DAYE as recommended by my clinic. I will start these as soon as the antibiotics finish + my period ends. I’ll also double / triple recommend dose of those as well as oral ones too.
Like you say, I guess we can’t ever have enough good bacteria. I have had 3 failed transfers previously (with 5 embryos) so I I’ll do absolutely anything to get a positive now.
