Emma and Alice test

Hello Ladies,

Has anyone done the Emma and Alice test? It's a biopsy done in the uterus to check for any infection in the womb before doing an embryo transfer and if there is anything wrong you are then treated to improve a healthy enough uterus and better chances of implantation. I just wanted to know if anyone has done this and what was your experience and have you had a successful pregnancy full term.

Thank you

Hey there,

I did this test and it transpired i had low level of lactobacillus in my womb. Doctor prescribed two months of probiotics. Im due to do Fet next month. The test name is Endometrio and they will do 3 tests at a go. I can say for me it was worth as I have read that low levelnof lactobacillus reduces drasticly implantation

Thank you for your message.

I have now just done the biopsy too. So still waiting for the results. It takes about 2 weeks for the results. Did they say why they wanted you to do this test? I'm doing it as I had fluid in my uterus due to hydrosalpinx, had two laparoscopies, removed both fallopian tubes but still have this fluid which will affect implantation so that's why the doctor has decided to do this test, do treatment if necessary and then do embryo transfer.

Such a long expensive process but very grateful there are all these avenues to explore to give us the best chance.

Yes so very true... This process i feel is never ending. I was supposed to do embryo transfer this month but for the first time ever i did not acheive a triple line so cycle was cancelled.

They did the Era test for me as I have only 1 Pgs normal embryo so my clinic wanted to rule out all possibilities and thank god I did it as i found out re the lactobacillus issue

I wish you all the best on your embryo transfer. My amh is really low so my egg quality on my cycles so far has affected embryo transfer. We have decided to use donor eggs to give us a better chance, just waiting now for the biopsy test results and most probably will be on the probiotics like you.

Its quite a long journey but let's keep going. Wish you all the best with your ivf treatment.
