I just got my test results back from my EMMA/ALICE biopsy and results for the EMMA are abnormal.
I am hopeful that we have now maybe found the reason for 4 implantation failures, although sad and frustrated that we didn’t do this test earlier and that it’s going to delay being able to do our 5th transfer now.
Has anyone had abnormal EMMA results and then had a repeat biopsy done after a round of antibiotics and probiotics and then achieved a normal result? And gone on to get a BFP?
Thanks and sending love to all x

No advice but keen to follow as although not having the test, I’m taking the antibiotics and probiotics anyway to correct if there is an abnormality. Good luck! Xx
No advice either, but I was prescribed probiotics by my clinic before I started my fourth round of treatment (second fresh cycle), so hopefully it’s something that is successful for you ahead of your next transfer 🍀 good luck xx
Yes, I did! I had a very abnormal result in EMMA and ALICE, was prescribed antibiotics and probiotics, repeated the tests again, they came back normal, I did the transfer the next cycle and I am now just over 10 weeks pregnant . I wish I had done those tests earlier, as I am sure I would have avoided some heartache. I suffered from implantation failure and recurrent miscarriages. Good luck!
What a lovely success story, congrats and thanks for sharing! Can I ask how long you took the antibiotics and probiotics for before you had a repeat test?
Thank you 😊 I think I took the antibiotics for 8 days. As soon as I finished the antibiotics I started with the probiotics. They prescribed me pessaries for 10 days but in addition to that I also took oral probiotics and continued to do so. They repeated the tests after I had completed the 10 days with pessaries. I wish you all the best! X
I had an abnormal result and had antibiotics and then probiotics. I didn’t bother having another test to see if it was clear as my clinic told me they’d never done a repeat test and found that they needed further medical help. I went straight into my fifth and final transfer and I’m now 24 weeks pregnant after
Reading all of your success stories 💕 and I was just hoping I could ask you a question - how long after your Emma/Alice can you do a transfer? Thank you xx
I had the Emma and Alice and then took antibiotics and probiotics and then straight into another transfer once that was finished. I had it done at a private clinic in West Midlands UK
What was the timeline from when you have the Emma/Alice to when you started the the estrogen for the next transfer? Also did you feel the your body responded better to estrogen after the treatment? Xx
My results came within 2 weeks each time (I landed up doing three EMMA tests over three months because of abnormal results) eventually decided to proceed with a transfer (it failed) despite abnormal results and did this the cycle after my last EMMA test which the doctor assured me was completely ok
I had it done at a private clinic in UK (DM me if you’d like me to send you the name) it was £895 (crazy expensive as are all things infertility unfortunately)
