I have always used Prontogest as my levels of progesterone are very low. Eg. After 5 days of lubion injections and pessaries x2 day, on transfer day my progesterone level was 32. My clinic prefers levels at 50. So we usually just swap it from to Prontogest on the day of transfer up until 12 weeks. I am 15 weeks at the moment.
I had a frozen transfer. And to date no symptoms at all. Not even from the medication. I have been on the IVF bus for 8 years think i just got used it/ desensitised to the effects of the meds. Prontogest is hard to administer by yourself and is quite painful. Try and keep the vial warm and alternate sides.
I don’t know if it’s a magic bullet for success. I have been using it for years but it was either that for me or 2 lubions per day plus the pessaries so I just opted for the one shot a day even if it was painful!
