Does anyone else find that the cyclogest pessaries make it sting when you wee? I’m pretty sure I remember having the same problem last time I had them back before Christmas.

I’ve never had this hun but they definitely caused me irritation which was horrible. As much as I didn’t want too, I do find putting them ‘in the back’ much cleaner and less side affects. Maybe try if you havnt already. X
My clinic advised to use them rectally precisely to reduce irritation (and because it’s generally less messy) despite the packet saying they should be used vaginally for IVF. Check with your consultant or the nurses! ☺️
All the best!
no that isn’t normally a symptom I’ve had or been told about, they can cause oration though which might have given you a urine infection or even thrush so maybe check with your clinic and/or GP xxx
Thank you. I mentioned it informally to a friend of mine who is a doctor & she said the wall between the vagina & the urethra is so thin that any irritation in the vagina can make it sting when you wee. If I can pluck up the courage, I will try the other route!
