I'm taking cyclogest 2x daily (morning and evening). I was just reading up on them and have seen conflicting information.
Do you need to lay down for 20/30 minutes after inserting these? I'm taking them via vagina. I wasn't told I had to by the nurse so just assumed I didn't need to. Worried now as I've been inserting them and just carrying on as normal. Now wondering if I should change the times I take them to make sure I can lay down for a while after π
Thanks

No one told me to lie down and I have been carrying on as normal. I've even used them in public toilets and then gone back to walking around. I wouldn't worry, I think they absorb into your body pretty quickly and most people I read about taking them have not been lying down after taking them. The nurse told me to take one before going to work in the morning, she can't have assumed I lie down at work!!! Wishing you luck and baby dust! βΊβ€
Thanks very much for your reply. That's really helpful. Yeah I had some leakage this morning and was worried it hadn't absorbed properly and that was maybe my fault for walking around but glad to hear it's nothing to worry about π good luck to you also π xxx
They only take 20mins to absorb so wouldn't worry, I use them rectally no mess then x
Hi Amanda86. No, this is not necessary. The progesterone in the pessary is absorbed via the mucus membrane (vaginal wall) in about 20 minutes after insertion. As "KiraJean" says, any leakage is just the vegetable fat that the drug is mixed with. Don't worry, and good luck with it all. Diane
I'm glad you posted this I was wondering myself about the leaking!! π I'm getting used to them now. When are they looking at your transfer Amanda? X
Me too lol! Well most probably Monday as I have 9 left today 1 over fertilised by yesterday afternoon, I have 1 top grade with 7 2nd grade and 1 a good 3rd grade so if the quality goes down tmoro then I'll have 2 in tmoro but scientist thinks I'll have 1 on Monday by the way they look, just hoping they stay strong and make a babyππ» X
Sounds great!! Good luck π I'm having a frozen transfer as my fresh cycle back in October was a chemical pregnancy. I have 4 frozen and they're thawing a 3BB blastocyst. Just praying it survives thaw and hopefully it's a sticky one that will give me my BFP π πΆ xxx
