Cyclogest

Hi all ,

I have had 2 fresh cycles and I am currently on my 3rd frozen cycle and have started the cyclogest again . I just doubt Myself and worry after so many negatives I’m not inserting them properly …. I always allow myself a good hour to lye down once inserted , is this enough ?

Sorry to give details but I’ve noticed if I go for a wee there’s lots of white bits still.

I'm sure you're using them properly. I never gave myself any time to rest after, just inserted them and off. I didn't get white bits when using them rectally but when I switched to Ultrogestan vaginally the toilet was always full of bits. The progesterone should absorb within about 20mins and the bits are just the coating. If you're worried, you could get your progesterone blood levels checked x

If your clinic don't/won't offer to test, then you can ask your GP or you can get them done privately (I did them through my GP and MediChecks) x

They only take 20 minutes to absorb, and they always leak out when used vaginally! You're still getting all the progesterone that you need. My progesterone levels were tested and they were nice and high. I'm sure it's fine. Do they not test your progesterone levels before transfer? You might ask for it. Good luck!

No I don’t , I’ve never been offered this ? I go for a scan a week before and then it’s the transfer .

It’s not something they have ever mentioned so I might ask .

For my fourth (and successful) transfer, I inserted them rectally and allow myself 20 minutes to sit down and I don’t move my bowls for an hour after. I didn’t like using them vaginally as they just leaked! Good luck to you ♥️ Xx

I did them rectally this time around with no rest twice a day and I got my bfp so don't worry
