Next FET after failed transfer

Hi,

I was just wandering as I'm going through chemical pregnancy - failed FET. I stopped taking progesterone and estradiol on Monday, haven't start bleeding but I can feel it "near".

When did you have the next transfer? I'm having a follow-up appointment in 2,5 weeks.

I’m so sorry to hear that!

My clinic said you can give it one cycle until the next FET, but recommended longer for emotional reasons. I left it 3 months to allow my body to get back to normal after the stims cycle

Hey, sorry about Ur experience 💗 I had the same thing last week, I was taking Progynova and was previously advised to wait for two periods, but Ive heard of other people do back to back cycles, think it depends on Ur clinic and what meds Ur on x

My NHS one wanted a minimum of two natural periods but I suspect part of that was scheduling. My private clinic was happy for me to go again straight after a chemical/early loss on a fresh transfer, as in start the meds from the next natural period, and that FET was successful. But then my HCG had never really gotten that high on the loss (so no real development to cause complications) and I'd started ovulating again soon after, so my cycles had settled back to normal.

My clinic let me use the bleed after chemical and then go again. It just didn’t feel right and was a BFN. I’d definitely wait for a natural bleed before trying again.

sorry to hear about your failed cycle , I have just had a failed fet too. My clinic want me to wait untill tomo to report my negative . I’m 12dp5dt. I’m not going to have medicated again I found it really hard emotionally. I am going to wait a full cycle and then possibly try a natural fet.

Sorry about your failed cycle too, I was thinking opposite, my first FET was medicated and was successful and my last 2 were natural and 1 ended in 7w miscarriage and this one with chemical and was wondering if not doing the next one medicated like my first FET

it’s so hard isn’t it knowing what to do 😭 I think some people get on with the medication but I certainly don’t , sent me absolutely mental . I’m hoping I can get some advice from the consultant as to what to do. I only have one grade c embryo left and I’m thinking of doing another egg collection tbh as I’m 38 in June and just feel like time is ticking Xx

Yes... it just feels like no matter what you choose it's wrong 🙈😢 I was feeling mental this time round, first 2 times I didn't have any side effects and mentally I was feeling great. And this time round I was so moody, ridiculously emotional and out of touch. And now feeling angry because I was hoping that at least I would end up pregnant :/ and I don't get it why do I feel the need to rush, like next FET need to be asap etc 🤦‍♀️

I feel exactly the same . My fresh I found easy and I blamed the fact it was a fresh and I must have been not ready after the egg collection on the fact it failed . This frozen one has really hit me hard . Just feel like it might never work and there’s something wrong with me . I went into ivf with male factor and now my husband is ok and it looks like it me 😢 what grade embryo did you have transferred ? Mine was a c and I’m wondering this that’s the reason for it not working . It takes over your life doesn’t it x

My 1st IVF which worked was 5Ab, 2nd was with 4Aa which end up with 7w miscarriage and our last one was 5Aa which resulted in chemical. We have still frozen 1x 5Aa, 2x5Bb and 1x5Bc

Before our 2nd FET we thought that if it won't take that's it and we will just give up on having more kids but I think because 2nd transfer worked but we lost it, it just changed everything and we decided to go through another egg retrival which gave us 5 embryos for freezing (in comparison we had only 3 from 1st retrival, 2x blastocyst and one 3 day which didn't survive thawing ) and to our surprise 2nd retrival gave us more embryos, with better quality (grade) and I am "older" than I was with my 1st retrival and in definitely worse health condition 😅 and my AMH was half lower than before 1st retrival 🙊

all my clinic told me was my first embryo was top quality and my last transfer was an expanding C . I’m going to have to go again with another egg collection I think as I’m down to one now . You have great embryos , keep positive ♥️ xxxx
