39and a half….8 follicles, FSH - 26 and AMH - 1.8 - Any success stories with own eggs?

39y 6months old - nsh

One disappointing cycle of ICSI behind me (three eggs retrieved, two fertilised but only two fertilised and only survived until day 5) - full protocol bellow if interested.

Baseline scan and bloods taken day 11 on 28 July

8 follicles, FSH - 26 and AMH - 1.8

I am due to go for a scan on First day of period. The nurse has asked if specialists would want me to start injections earlier than planned and skip the pretreatment. Just hoping for some words of wisdom, shared experiences, advice please.

New cycle -

short protocol

Norethisterone

Meriofert 75 +Fostimon 225

Fymadel 0.25mg

Gonasi 10,000

Old cycle

Medication:

short protocol:

Progynova - 14 - 22 August

Evening - 300iu meriofert started (day 4 of bleed cycle) for 26th august 10 DAYS (last dose 4sept day 13)

Morning 300 Frymadel 31st (day 9) (last dose 4 sept day 13)

50000iu Gonasai Trigger injection - 21.00 (4 sept day 13)

Thank you

:)

Hi there

I had my last egg collection at 39 and a half. My AMH was 2.7 and AFC 13 about a year prior to that collection I never had it retested. I always thought my AMH didn't match my AFC. Anyway long story short 5 eggs collected, 3 fertilised, 2 made it to day 5 but were still Morula's. Both transferred and both stuck, currently 15 weeks with twins.

Short protocol, I was on 450 of meriofert for first 6 days then switched to 450 gonal F, with some Fyremadel in there and a 10000 gonassi trigger.

It is possible, although I never had my FSH checked, over 10 might indicate a poorer response but it can also vary month to month so you may find you have a better month another time.

Thanks so much for your reply ! Does give me hope. How many cycles did you have? My amh was apparently 3 last count and 2.2 before that so Don’t get it. The fsh count was done on day 11 so don’t think it is relevant as it needs to be on day 1-5. Did they adjust your protocol half way based on response? And are you nhs :) that’s all the questions hahahha good luck with the twins that’s amazing :)

Because I'm single I don't qualify for NHS where I stay so I was private throughout. I had 5 egg collections to get me to this point though so it wasn't easy. My first 3 were a flare protocol with lower doses of stim but didn't respond well to the suppression and the clinic refused to change the protocol (I had a 3 cycle packages so was stuck). I did get pregnant twice but lost them both early. Then I moved clinics and short protocol and high dose stims was much better for me. I never needed a change in protocol midway through although the 2nd clinic may have done this if it was required. Good luck.

Hi! I just wanted to say I’m 40. I went straight in for ivf and decided on pgta so there was no messing about and only best embryos made the shortlist. I had 14 eggs retrieved. 12 fertilised. After pgta i had 3. Im now 12 weeks pregnant after my first go.
