hello, I was also advised to take methyl folate (400 mcg) per day. Then from the day of transfer only the pregnacare unles your doctor advises otherwise. All the best xx
hello, having just done my first cycle ever (currently on my two week wait) I was so nervous and apprehensive as I didn’t know what to expect and found this forum later into my journey.
From my experience I have learnt everyone is totally different and not to compare your experience so much to others.
Keeping positive and self care is so important in my opinion whilst you’re going through ivf try keep life as normal as possible. I found that not thinking about it so much allowed the process to go quicker and doing the things I enjoyed even just getting my nails done made the biggest of difference to me.
Drinking lots of water helped me with my bloating.
Listen to your body, throughout this experience I feel like I have become so much more intune with my body for example if I was tired I’d go for a nap.
Dipping in and out of this community has helped me a lot to know so many women are doing the same thing as me helped me feel like I’m not alone.
Wishing you all the best of luck and sending you positive vibes x
thank you so much mb254 I wish you all the luck! Hope you’re feeling ok? I am really worried about my egg quality as I have a low amh and husband has low morphology. Is there anything I can do to help either? Many thanks x
Good luck with your first cycle! We had our in April/May and ICSI gave us very good fertilisation rate. I recommend reading 'It all starts with the egg' - lots of good advice on food supplements and life changes to improve fertility.
well it’s entirely up to you but for my FET that worked, I took fertility bud because it had naturally occurring folate. The nhs only suggest folic acid and vitamin D so I never took pregnacare as they looked like over doing it. I stuck to fertility bud or other natural ones and took vitamin D separately. The reason for naturally occurring folate being that some women’s body’s can reject the synthetic form. Obviously it’s fine for the majority of people. So entirely your choice. Not sure you should be having cod liver oil though. I think it might have a large amount of vitamin A in and that is not safe.
Hi, cycle buddy. I just started my first ever icsi cycle yesterday and first injection this morning. I was a wreck last week but so far, so good. It's nowhere near as difficult as I imagined in my mind. All the best and merry Christmas xx
