Hi everyone .. our story started when NHS would not pay for nothing as my partner got 4 children and then vasectomy done years ago.. we went private for reversal but failed then last November started looking into IVF / ICSI . He had to has his PESA done which was successful and we got frozen sperms for 6 cycles.. then we decided to go through egg sharing programme .. to save cost .. we already paid over 3000 for unsuccessful reversal and PESA.. the worse is waiting nearly 2 month gaps between appointments .. after consultations i had another blood tests done and they take nearly 6 weeks to come back which we did not know and its hard to do all the waiting again.. ONE year till we got here and wait till January now ..i am all over internet looking for advise and stories worrying i will do something wrong that will stop our dream come true.. as we had one big slap with failed reversal..

i am also afraid because my levels showed i am over stimulating normal number for age 30 is 30 .. i am up to 62 which means i am in danger of over stimulating ovarian syndrome .. anyone else had this problem ..??

Hi hunni..

I'm in similar situation except it's me who has a child from a previous relationship.. My husband has not got any children..

We were discharged from nhs clinic this June with it's trying or ivf.. And nhs wouldn't fund us.. It was unexplained infertility till we went private.. Like you we couldn't afford ivf so we decided to look into egg sharing too.. Long story cut short..I discovered there I had a small ovary..Low amh only 5.37..and an underactive thyroid which is fine bis I've been taking thyroxine.. Unfortunately these findings caused us huge delays.. Original appointment was in august I thought id be having ivf now.. Husband was told not to have his screening blood tests till my tsh levels were ok .. Mine were done last month..husband had his blood tests done Monday at our drs surgery..won't get results till this Thursday..and I can't proceed to the next stage till clinic have received his results ..so I know how frustrating this waiting is and nothing is ever straight forward..! You just wanna get going :)

Wishing the very best with everything and if you need a chat Pm me otherwise hope it goes well for you..

Jess

The waiting is hard but you will soon be starting the treatment. I have tried to find distractions, making things etc have helped. The biggest thing is the emotional impact, including before the treatment starts but I have found that writing things down help. Even when I posted on here, when I didn't expect a reply, I felt better. Then the replies came and I didn't feel quite so alone. It will soon start and best of luck with it all x

You are definitely not alone and I can understand the million questions. I did see a counsellor when knew we were being referred for ivf. I didn't cope well at all initially. But she has helped and I don't see her now because I manage, although everyone has bad days. Just keep writing and asking those questions. There are a lot of people on here who have been through it and their words can help. Take care. Try to do something nice x

also my boss is not very understanding.. my contract is only 20 hours but they can extend it to over 45 when they need you .. my boss knows i am going through this and i begged him to keep my hours down but he seems to ignore me and i had an argument with him too.. its hard work in supermarket where is physical work but more work under pressure .. i asked about hard work at my consultations and doctor said your work cant do any harm to you .. but i think stress and pressure cant be any good for you.. so i am thinking to sign myself off when i start treatment till 2 weeks wait .. anybody else had any problems caused by work ? xx
