I had a first DE transfer on the 15th October. Had a vomiting bug the following week and 7 days after transfer I had light spotting which lasted about 6 hours on the 22nd October.
Test was BFP at 12 and 13dp5dt on 28th October.
No more spotting and at 5 weeks I had a doubling HCG 1035 - 3694 taken 2.5 days later on the 31st October.
Booked a scan for 6weeks 1 day which is tomorrow but this morning when I went for a wee there was a little blob of blood in the loo and the light spotting lasted again for 6 hours. Seems to have stopped now but Iβm terrified and just really sad.
Has anyone had this? I have no cramps. Still seem to have nausea etc. I feel so anxious, I had nothing like this at all with my son. I canβt help but feel hopeless, time is running out for me and I feel so desperate for this to work I canβt focus on anything else π’ Thank you xx

Sometimes you can have a bit of spotting - may be due to medication [ which encourages blood flow ] or irritation from using pessaries . Will be thinking of you tomorrow - good luck with the scan
Hi, I will be 11 weeks tomorrow and i have been having spotting on and off from 5 weeks, no explanation for it, and everything is fine. Had my last scan on Monday. Try not worry, i know it can be very stressful and scary.
And congratulations π Let us know how your scan goes x
Can I ask how frequently you experienced this and how long does it last? Mine is red which worries me more, like red mixed with some mucus. Not much but there when I wipe for most of the morning today. Iβm just praying itβs the pessaries but I hope i know more after tomorrow π€ thank you again xx
I had this at 6 weeks! Was light and was on and off over two days - no βflowβ. Had another scan and baby was fine, no explanation for the bleeding but my FS said it was pretty common. Fingers crossed for you xx
Amazing!!! Congrats, that is awesome. I know itβs hard not to feel anxious, but seeing the heartbeat is a big pregnancy milestone - youβll be at the next one before you know it π x
I had a large and painful bleed around this time. It turned out to be a subchorionic haematoma. It resolved itself by the 12 week scan, I just had to take it easy and stop the baby aspirin. Fingers crossed all is well on the scan!
thank you so much, my scan this morning was fine π heart beat visible at 6wk 1 day so I was relieved. They couldnβt see a reason for the bleed but said it was common and go back if I have more π€π€
hi lovely, congratulations on your positive and your HCG rising! Spotting and bleeding is extremely common in IVF pregnancies (50% of women who do ivf bleed in early pregnancy).
I had non-stop spotting from weeks 5 till 8, including 3 very heavy bleeds in that time (5+3, 6+3 and 7+0 weeks) I was terrified and consistently thought I was losing baby but my clinic werenβt worried at all and said it was completely normal and a type of implantation bleeding.
So Iβm really hoping this is the case for you and gives you some hope! X
