Anyone else had this?i have to have a repeat blood test in 12 weeks and we cant do anything till then ! I already have an autoimmune called graves diseas so am always on steroids but dr talked about heparin and if on the repeat it shows again this would be all the way through and pregnancy

Hello lovely, I have a few autoimmune diseases, including Graves too. I also have blood clotting problems and suffered 5 miscarriages (4 in the first trimester and lost my baby boy in the second trimester). The good news is that thanks to being on steroids and heparin (I was also on hydroxychloroquine and aspirin), my miracle rainbow baby arrived two and a half months ago. I was on heparin until 6 weeks after the birth of my little one. Wishing you all the best and PM me if you want to chat xx
Thank you ! Blooming heck sounds like we may be autoimmune twins. Fingers crossed we get a similar result with the extras. Thank you so much for messaging , did they only realise after miscarriage for you regards heparin etc? IJust feels like more hurdles getting popped infront of us but its a relief to hear that good things can come. Congratulations on the arrival of your little one, will probably take you up on the dm offer when i know more. Xxx
Yes, they only realised after recurrent miscarriages that I had blood clotting issues. Also, when they did the autopsy of the baby I lost in the second trimester and checked the placenta they realised I had placenta problems, also caused by my bIood clotting problems. I was only on heparin in my last successful pregnancy and it worked. Feel free to PM me anytime. We sound very similar and I will be so happy to help if I can I kept repeating to myself that every 'hurdle' was just a step closer xx
I have had this and I am on blood thinners every cycle. Good luck! xx
Hi! Similarly: I got a positive for a "small genetic variation" on my thrombosis test which puts me at greater risk of clotting, so I've been on heparin since my FET. It's a daily injection that I'll have to continue until 30 days after giving birth. Now on week 8 and I'm getting used to it, although my belly is BLUE with bruises... wishing you all the best, heparin is not super fun but you get used to it quick
