We’re due to start our first ever round of ICSI next week eek!!!
I haven’t had my first appointment yet and all have been told so far is that I’ll be on Buserelin to start and then Ovaleap. Im looking for advice as to how people have managed their injection timings alongside shift work
I’m a nurse and work an irregular mix of 12.5 hour day and night shifts from 19:30/07:30 - 08:00/20:00 (and rarely ever leave on time!)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated ☺️ Hope you are all well! Xx

I had to do all my injections in the morning. Hopefully your shifts work out so you are in the house for at least the 1st one so you can get the hang of it. However there after i had mine all prepared and stored in a tuperwear and just took my bag to the toilet and did it there lol. I would maybe set alarm 20mins or so before you would normally do it so that if your busy doing something and alarm goes off you know you can try and finish what your doing and nip to the toilet. Also they don't need to be given at exactly the same time daily. If you get caught up with work being 30mins later will be fine. All the best of luck!
I didn't do mine at set times - tried to stick to a window of time, like morning, afternoon, evening etc, but I was never really organized enough and my work is erratic so I would get stuck on something for hours and there aren't set start/finish times. I don't think a few hours makes any difference (it seemed to be just the trigger that needed to be precise). Like previous response said, I did quite a few in the toilets at work too, even in plane toilets - once you've got used to them, it becomes much quicker.
