Missed cetrotide injection

Hi All,

Im on my ivf cycle,

I should have started my cetrotide injection this morning but completely forgot and now its 21:00 and the clinic is closed. I havent taken it and will wait till morning to call the clinic but wanted to ask if anyone had skmilar situation.

Today is CD10 and day 6 of stimulation injections

Hi Maiooo. My advice would be to carry on as normal in the morning, perhaps a little earlier. Bit too late now for today’s. Hopefully all will be ok. Good luck. Diane

Hi. Hopefully it won’t make any difference as you’ve already had 6. Let the clinic know as they may want you to add the missed dose on the end. Diane

Ive had 6 of the stimulation but none of the cetrotide yet

Tofay should have been Day 1 on cetrotide

I literally did the exact same thing and I’m freaking out! Did this affect your cycle at all? Did you ovulate too soon?

Bless you! The process is so stressful, I’m not surprised you’ve forgotten. Certrotide stops you ovulating, which I wouldn’t imagine would happen as early as day 6 of stims so I think you’ll be ok, but I am certainly not an expert so definitely check with the clinic in the morning and don’t forget to inject 😂🙈x

You made me feel sooo much better you have no idea how SHOCKED i was!! Went to take my stims in the evening and when i went to sign my booklet I discovered i shouldve taken cetrotide in the morning!!

Called emergency who couldnt advised me as its too specialised for them!

Yes, clinic will be able to put your mind at rest but I really would try not to panic!! When do you have your next follicle scan and bloods? They will be able to yell for sure at the scan if you’ve ovulated x

My next scan is next friday and my clinic doesnt do blood tests

The did some blood tests at the beggining of the ivf process but none to come

If i do ovulate early the cycle will be canceled?

I don’t know the answer to that one I’m afraid lovely! I say give them a call and try not to worry if you can. IVF is a bugger, try to be kind to yourself x

Im just seeing this, I would have advised you to still go ahead and administer it and then speak with the clinic in the morning

something similar happened to me (clinic forget to tell me to start cetrotide) so they doubled the dose for a couple of days. I’m sure all will be fine (obviously wait to see what they saying before doing anything)

I forget to do Cetrotyde with about 6 hours difference. It was not a problem for the cycle

I did call the clinic next morning and they advised to just continue taking my medications till i see them next appointment
