Hi lovely people - wanted to check my current list of supplements with you to see if I'm missing any major ones, before I go into my 2nd ivf cycle. I don't want to overload on a million pills, just wanting a good broad supplement supply.
Also could some PM me what coq10/ubiquinol they would recommend? I have bought one that is ubiquinone but I don't think that's right?
For me;
Coq10/ubiquinone
Pregnacare
Omega 3
Vit D
VitalDHA
Folic acid
For hubby;
Conceive plus for men
VitalDHA mens
Omega 3
Vit D
And probably my coq10 if i can get a new brand.
Thanks a million!
Jo

Ubiquinone is ok, you just need more of it (600mg a day instead of 400mg). If you’re willing to add 2 more, N-acetylcysteine (600mg) and melatonin 1.5-3mg at night. Both powerful antioxidants and there are a number of papers on positive IVF outcomes with melatonin use. You’d need to get it from the US (it’s legal to import for personal use) unless your repro consultant will prescribe; I used iHerb for all my supps. Best of luck in the upcoming round xx
Oh OK thats interesting. I have a high absorption coq10 300mg so I might have to up that. Also throwing it down the husband's throat as well. Oh the joys.
I've been reading a lot about melatonin, as you say, it's kind of hard to come by here. I'll have a look on iherb xxx
Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I can't get an appointment with my consultant for 3 months! I'm going private at the end of November so will talk to them then but I want to get ahead start as my next round could be in 3 months and I know that's the time frame I need to improve my egg quality x
Hello, I wanted to ask what dose of ubiqunol you guys have been taking/advised? My clinic give a standard dose of 100mg to everyone but I’ve read you need a lot higher! Yet they insist that is it for all..
