Hello hun, I used one of the brands recommended in 'it starts with the egg' which was Pharma Nord, it was expensive but does seem to have some research behind it. Good luck hun.
How funny I was actually going to ask this yesterday as mine was running out too! I ended up getting solgar ones, I'm taking 600mg a day and got 200mg ones so will spread it, the ones I had before were huge and kept getting stuck in my throat when I was taking them! No idea if the ones I've chosen are any good though sorry!
I've been using Healthy Origins Vegan Ubiquinol 100mg (I take 600mg per day though). It's so hard to find any that are suitable for vegetarians and don't have any additional vitamins added. I was previously taking another brand which had huge amounts of vitamin C and E in it which my consultant thought might have a b bad effect as I am also taking Impryl and you are not meant to take high amounts of antioxidants with that apparently
I also took the pharma nord ones my last round. Bio-quinone active q10 gold. Would agree that they are expensive but seemed to have lots of good reviews.
I hadn’t been taking any previously so I took 300mg as I figured something was better than nothing which made the expense slightly less. The It Starts With The Egg book also said if you took good quality you could afford to take a lesser dosage. We had planned on this being our last round with my eggs before trying donors so I was willing to pay a bit more knowing I wouldn’t be using them again. I also bought my husband the pharma nord B Daddy tablets and he took 2 a day which gave him 200mg. I have no idea if either helped but I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant so the additional cost now seems worth it. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Oh I saw them, I just couldn't get any over 100mg. No way I'm getting my hubby to take 6 a day with all the other stuff I'm giving him lol have to make things simple haha
Hi Joey, I've been taking Ubiquinol from Jarrow and ordered them off Amazon and then changed to Ubiquinol from Now Foods recently, sourced from iHerb, as I saw someone recommend that brand on here. I bought both in 120 capsule pack which made them a bit more reasonably priced. The size of the capsules from the Now Foods brand is about half of that of the Jarrow ones so easier to swallow. I can't really vouch for the effectiveness of either as I've had no success since starting supplementation.
