I had my last cycle cancelled due to thin lining .
I have started my period today and started drinking beetroot juice ( a glass ) I plan on drinking this every day . I am also taking vitamin e , vitamin d , coq10 ,omega 3 and of course folic acid .
should I order raspberry leaf tea? Any brand recommendations? And l’argine any brand recommendations?
I also plan on having blue berries every day and pineapple . Any help would be great! I only have 1 frozen embryo after testing all my embryos .
Thank you!

Hi there, I also had my fresh cycle cancelled in April due to lining of only 6.5 and ended up doing medicated Frozen in the end as the natural FET I wanted was going to get cancelled due to my ovulation planning to land at a time that meant id need a weekend transfer- (my clinic don’t do weekend transfers which I think isn’t great)
However as I knew I needed to thicken the lining, I did a few things to help get it up which did work! I went all out into because I only had one precious 5 AA so I put my all into it. I had also been taking all of those supplements and foods you’ve listed but unfortunately for me, it didn’t change much, although it’s quite possible I wasn’t taking enough L arginine though as I took less than that.
I was then told about uterine PRP and neupogen flush by a great doctor at Harley street who specialises in this area. I decided to do it (at another cost though)
After the uterine PRP it increased to 7.4 and after the neupogen flush it went to 8.3. I was also on oestrogen patches so they were probably doing some work in the background too so it’s so hard to say what did it but I believe it was a combination of things. However an earlier scan didn’t show much development on the oestrogen alone.
All I can say is that from the measurements between the PRP and Neupogen flush I saw good increases. Thing is these are not cheap. The flush (£300) is more affordable than the PRP (£600) but I just thought I’d mention it as it worked and apparently has been really working for women with persistent thin lining, many of those who don’t seem to respond to the oestrogen alone.
When I had a scan at my clinic after the treatments they couldn’t believe the difference and said it looked great and really healthy!
It’s not going to be for everyone but just thought I’d mention it as both treatments really helped me.
Wishing you the very best of luck and I’m sure what you’re doing will have some results. Xxxx
Hi there. I was under Dr George Ndukwe at Harley street Fertility clinic. They did uterine PRP and also a neupogen flush, both got the lining thicker. I’d def recommend and it’s painless. I really hope you can get some great results! X
Thank you! I’m just started an FET protocol of estrogen patches and viagra. But it’s helpful to know that there are other options if this cycle gets cancelled or doesn’t work out. Xx
Sounds like you’ve got it all covered but you don’t need/ shouldn’t really take the coq10 now as that’s for egg quality so you should stop after egg collection and for a FET you have already had egg collection 🤗 good luck! Xx
Thank you if this doesn’t work I was planning on going to stims straight after hence taking the Coq10 . Two people have said to me it’s harmful now for a FET do we know why? My consultant is quite aloof . I’m going to change clinics after this as I’ve not had the best care .
Most clinics don’t really get involved in discussing supplements other than folic acid and vitimin D they can really ‘reccomend’ much else as it won’t be ‘proven’ to clinical level standards. Some clinics might ‘suggest’ some from their experience for us to go research ourselves but they don’t prescribe them so that’s about as far as it goes from my experience.
Coq10 hasn’t been tested in pregnancy is why they suggest stopping after egg collection. Also it can counteract some other things you might be taking. It always messes with my cycles slightly too so I never take it when preparing for a FET and always stop after egg collection when preparing for a fresh transfer too. If the outcome is negative I just restart it again. It’s up to you really but that’s just the recommendations and you only need it for 3 months before a collection so could save you some money too! Xx
Thank you . I cannot wait 3 months time is running out for me unfortunatley so It will be straight into stims end of september if this does not work . Which means I would not have built it up if I stop now
I'm the same - carrying on with coq10 in case I have to do another EC as I'm 43 so don't have time.
I'm also carrying on with DHEA but 25ug not 75ug. My clinic prescribed that and coq10.
I've just switched from coq10 high strength Holland and Barrett to ubiquinol (kaneka, the Japanese brand) which is more readily absorbed by the body. It's good for overall functioning, not just fertility. I've got 3 frosties and my clinic didn't say to carry on taking anything since I now have my embryos but like you, I'm anxious about maintaining egg quality in case I have to do another EC.
Ref previous comment, I didn't know these supplements could interfere with other things?
I'm waiting PGTA testing now. Oh, the waiting ...x
From memory I think blood thinners was one the things coq10 could interfere with the effectiveness of (I take clexane after transfers) and impyrl was another thing that the counteracted the effectiveness of each other (I found that out in here after wasting my money taking both for a few months!) but I’m sure in most cases it’s fine to carry on although has no benefits to the FET it’s just not tested as safe in pregnancy though (most things like this aren’t as they can’t run trials) best to check with your clinic of course! 🤗 xx
I did PGT and out of my 4 remaining frosties only 1 was normal. I do not regret testing though- although there is some controversy I am 38 and I have been ttc since 35. I am tired and I had to make the decision it is one more stims thats it if this fails. I went in blind and naive to IVF there is so much information it becomes confusing . And the money on Acupuncture etc - I stopped this as it was just killing me . I wish you all the best on your journey! x
Hi! Are you preparing for an FET? If so, my clinic actively discourages CoQ10 - I was told by our consultant that it is good for improving the quality of eggs in the run up to an egg collection but not useful and possibly harmful for an FET. In the run up to my successful FET I drank pomegranate juice for lining and also took oral and vaginal probiotics (Biogaia and Canesfloor). Very best of luck!
Thank you . Yes I am my only frozen embryo . Did they say why it was harmful? I’m planning on going back through stims if this doesn’t work hence taking it for the last couple of months . I won’t take any today and message my consultant although he takes his time and had not been helpful .
I had to suggest supplements to him . I will change clinics if we don’t have success this time .
I suggested supplements to mine too, and then they said go ahead and take DHEA and coq10. They're western medicine advocates, I don't think most recognise any benefits of supplements. It's the never ending debate.
Now I'm worrying about taking ubiquinol!
Targeting end of September for FET so want to start doing all I can now to prepare
Ubiquinol is what I’m taking too! I’ve emailed my consultant this morning. As for stims I had to do menopur at night but he’s given me no advice on time this time. I am a bit in limbo xx
I drank red raspberry leaf tea from Holland and Barrett every evening (two teabags in one cup), did hot water bottle on tummy for 20 mins every evening until day before transfer too plus nuts and everything else suggested (plus mild stims) and my lining was 10.3 for this transfer - I'm now 14 weeks pregnant from that 🤞🏻 x
Oh I can only hope .. I have never been pregnant and had a failed fresh transfer in febuary . I wanted to wait until my cycles were normal again which was June and then I had a cancelled FET as thin lining and only 1 healthy embryo after PGT testing . I am now going to start mild medication so everyones tips are super healthy . Praying this works .
Is that medication to get the uterine lining ready for the transfer? My clinic hasnt mentioned anything to me about taking meds, but perhaps that will be our next conversation when I get the PGTA testing results x
Hi lovely yes I had a cancelled cycle due to thin lining and this is my last embryo. I had wanted a natural cycle but it didn’t work out . I had a saline scan and they said nothing was wrong so I am hoping it was just an anomaly and I’ll be ok this time . Good luck with your testing xx
Fingers crossed for you - I hope all goes well. If it gets cancelled again - speak to your consultant to see if they would be prepared to do PRP - I had that for my transfer 2 months before (which failed) but I'm sure the after effects may have helped to regenerate my whole lining x
I had a lining that did t behave very well. I always seemed to get stuck just below 7mm. We used a mix of patches and estrogen tabs and I didn't down regulate as I thought it switched my body off too much and clinic eventually agreed. I tried a few supplements and genuinely think the raspberry leaf tea helped - Heath & Heather and Natures Aid tabs. I took the supplements and tea ....however if you dont like the flavour just go for the tablets. Make sure its properly raspberry leaf and not just flavoured. My lining on my successful transfer was the best it had ever been. Good luck.xxx
